What does thyroid and metabolism have to do with nutrition?

Your metabolism is every metabolic processes your body does to function. To name a few, Digestion, immunity, detoxification.
It's controlled by the Thyroid.
What is the Thyroid?
It's a gland that manages every metabolic process in the body.
It a gland in your neck that synthesis 4 thyroid hormones. These hormones run the metabolism.
Hypothyroidism
Is when the Thyroid is running low = your metabolism is slow.
Symptoms of a sluggish thyroid
➡️Weight gain or unable to lose weight.
➡️Digestive issues
➡️Low immune function
➡️Mood issues- depression, anxiety, short temper.
➡️Sleep issues
➡️PMS, fertility issues, no libido

The thyroid aka your metabolism aka your health needs certain fuel for it to run and support it.
Heres what you can do:
✅️Eat balanced meals that consist of protein, carbohydrates and fats - the macros.
✅️Enjoy a variety of the right foods to ensure your hitting your micros.
✅️Eat regularly to support your energy needs.
✅️Limit PUFAS, processed foods, grains, nuts, seeds, alcohol and medications.
🟢Prioritise sleep and sleep habits
🟣Reduce stress - do something you enjoy, get out in nature, spend time with people you care about.
🟠Strength train and do physical activity you enjoy that isn't too taxing.
