My colleague is conducting some research:

Hello everyone 🤍

I am a midwife and Honours student at Griffith University, and I am currently conducting a research study exploring women’s experiences of breastfeeding education during pregnancy.

We often hear that breastfeeding is “natural” or that it will just happen — yet many women find their early experiences very different from what they expected. This study is about listening to women’s voices and understanding what actually helped (or didn’t) when it came to feeling prepared.

I am inviting mothers from anywhere in the world to take part if you:

• Are 18 years or older
• Speak and understand English
• Have had at least one baby
• Received any form of breastfeeding education during pregnancy

This might include hospital classes, private programs, online education, peer support groups, or support from a midwife, IBCLC or breastfeeding counsellor.

Participation involves one relaxed online interview (around 45–60 minutes), where you will be invited to share your experience of breastfeeding education during pregnancy and how it connected with your early breastfeeding journey.

Your participation is completely voluntary and confidential.
