Early Intervention/Cognitive Development Specialist

Early Intervention/Cognitive Development Specialist PBS, ABA, early intervention and cognitive development specialist with a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching. Welcome!

I’m Nadia Tomova – a PBS, ABA, and early cognitive development specialist with a Master’s degree in Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching. 🌈

I work collaboratively with families and therapy teams to help children meet their speech and physiotherapy goals, ensuring that progress happens across all areas of development. I create individualized early intervention programs that support early cognitive development for both neurotypical and neurodivergent children. My goal is to help each child build confidence, learn effectively, and communicate meaningfully. My approach combines Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Positive Behavior Support (PBS) with a psychological understanding of child development — drawing on cognitive, behavioral, and emotional principles. I believe in seeing beyond the behavior, understanding the “why,” and guiding the child through empathy and structure. 💛

🌱 Here on this page, you’ll find:
🔹 Practical strategies to support learning and behavior at home.
🔹 Visual and structured tools to improve communication and focus.
🔹 Guidance on building independence and emotional regulation.
🔹 Insight and encouragement for parents and professionals working with young children. I believe that every child has the ability to thrive when psychology, structure, and compassion come together. With the right support, growth becomes not only possible, but joyful. 💕

Thank you for being part of this community! I hope this space offers inspiration, understanding, and practical tools for your journey.

Sometimes behavior is not about “misbehavior”—it is about sensory overload🧸

Your child may be sensitive to:
⭐️Loud sounds
⭐️Bright lights
⭐️Certain textures
⭐️Crowded places

What looks like a meltdown might actually be:
⭐️“I hear too much.”
⭐️“It’s too bright.”
⭐️“I feel uncomfortable.”
⭐️“It’s too overwhelming.”

Try this:
⭐️Reduce noise or move to a quiet space
⭐️Offer comfort items
⭐️Prepare your child before new environments
⭐️Watch for early signs of overwhelm

When we adjust the environment, we help the child feel safe.

A calm environment creates a calm child🫶
