Maybe you're not lost.
Maybe your soul is trying to redirect you.
A few years ago, my husband and I went for an early evening walk. It was the perfect evening with clear, pink skies, and we were talking about how grateful we were for our lives, our children, our home. However, something just didn't feel right for me. It was like I had a yearning deep inside of me.
I was trying to explain to my husband that something just wasn't aligning for me. I had this feeling that there had to be more, I was more, I was meant for more. There was something right on the tip of my tongue, but I just couldn't articulate what that 'thing' was.
Who has ever felt that there is nothing dramatically "wrong" with your life… yet something no longer feels right.
Work doesn't fulfil us in the same way.
The things we once wanted don't excite us.
Certain relationships or patterns become harder to tolerate.
We begin feeling drawn towards people, places, practices or ideas we can't quite explain.
And somewhere underneath all of it is a quiet knowing:
There is something more for me.
I believe these 'knowings' are invitations.
Not necessarily to burn down your life or make an enormous change overnight, but to become curious about the part of you that is asking to be heard.
Because sometimes the question isn't:
"What's wrong with me?"
It's:
"What am I being asked to remember?"
And for me... that is exactly what my soul was leading me to.
