Sarah Hunstead is a Registered Nurse specialising in paediatrics, author, and Founder of CPR Kids, a certified social enterprise that helps parents, carers, and professionals build the confidence and skills to respond to paediatric health emergencies.

Sarah has been a Registered Nurse for more than 20 years, with most of her career spent in paediatric emergency in roles ranging from Clinical Nurse Specialist to Clinical Nurse Manager.

In 2012, Sarah founded CPR Kids to provide practical, evidence-based first aid and recognition of the sick child education that’s clear, accessible, and evidence based.

Since then, CPR Kids has grown to offer online courses, train-the-trainer programs, and face-to-face community classes across Australia,run primarily in partnership with public and private hospitals. All sessions are delivered by expert Registered Nurses and midwives, with a focus on real world learning suited to diverse backgrounds and learning needs. CPR Kids is currently transitioning to a not-for-profit company, seeking registration with the ACNC as a Health Promotion Charity.

Sarah is the author of A Life. A Finger.
A Pea Up a Nose: A Practical Guide to Baby and Child First Aid, later published by HarperCollins. She regularly appears in media to talk about child safety, is a paediatric expert on the education team at the National Institute of First Aid Trainers (NIFAT), and holds casual academic positions at the UTS Faculty of Health, School of Nursing and Midwifery, and the University of Wollongong Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health, School of Nursing.

Chris is a passionate registered nurse with a lengthy career in education, from delivery of first aid units through to post-graduate level instruction. Chris has embraced lifelong learning, completing a range of vocational qualifications in frontline management, training and assessment, as well as undertaking post-graduate study in intensive care nursing and a masters in clinical education. Chris values professionalism and supporting learners wherever they may be. He believes that with a great team, almost anything is possible.

Chris’ clinical experience includes pre-hospital care, general nursing, intensive care, patient safety, rural and remote practice, telehealth clinical teaching and nursing education. Currently, Chris works as Nursing Director, Education and Research in the public hospital sector.

With a diverse background across early childhood education, community services, mental health and health sectors, Lee brings extensive experience in competency-based training, assessment development, workforce development and the design of quality training outcomes.

Lee specialises in the development, review and continuous improvement of nationally recognised training products, working collaboratively with industry experts, employers, registered training organisations, trainers and assessors, and technical stakeholders to ensure training reflects contemporary workforce needs.

Simon is a health program manager with a Bachelor of Clinical Practice (Paramedics) from Charles Sturt University, a Master of International Public Health and a Master of Health Management from the University of New South Wales and a Graduate Diploma of International Relations from the London School of Economics. Simon’s career has included working with a number of NGOs and United Nations Agencies to deliver health services in various conflict and disaster settings throughout the world. Simon is passionate about health equity and preventative healthcare.
