🏑 NDISS Proudly Supporting Local Hockey 🏑

At NDISS, we believe in supporting the communities that support us, which is why we are proud sponsors of the Grafton Hockey Association Inc - Home of the Bascule Function Centre

Community sport plays a vital role in bringing people together, developing confidence, encouraging teamwork, and creating opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to stay active and connected.

As part of our commitment to local hockey, NDISS has recently donated a new umpire communication headset system to the Association. This equipment will assist with umpire development, mentoring, coaching, and match officiating, helping to strengthen the quality of hockey across our region for years to come.

We are incredibly proud to support the volunteers, coaches, officials, players, and families who make our local hockey community what it is. The dedication shown both on and off the field is what makes grassroots sport so special.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with Grafton Hockey and wish all teams, officials, and supporters a successful and enjoyable season.

Support Worker – High-Intensity Participants

We are seeking experienced Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants with complex and high-intensity needs across a 7-day rotating roster. $35-$45 hourly

About the Role

You will be supporting participants with complex needs in line with their Behaviour Support Plans, delivering care that prioritises safety, dignity, and professionalism at all times. This role suits workers who are confident, calm under pressure, and experienced in high-intensity environments.

Shifts Available

6:00am – 12:00pm
12:00pm – 6:00pm
6:00pm – 10:00pm
Availability to work at least one weekend per fortnight is required.

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Support Worker
Demonstrated experience supporting high-intensity participants
Strong understanding and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans
Sound knowledge of person-centred and trauma-informed care
Ability to remain professional and regulated in challenging situations
Reliable, flexible, and able to work a rotating roster
Strong communication and documentation skills
Certificate III in Individual Support (or higher)
Medication assistance experience
Behaviour support experience
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and working with childrens check
First Aid & CPR
Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
