Mad in America affiliate, Mad in Norway, is hosting an international film festival from September 24-26 in Lillehammer, Norway. Each week, we will feature a film. This week is Diagnonsense. DIAGNONSENSE is a self-reflective documentary by director Ane-Martha Tamnes Hansgård, based on her experiences of being diagnosed with a number of mental disorders over a period of fifteen years—a process that began when she was barely a teenager. It is a fragmented and powerful story about growing up in a psychiatric system that defines who you are. By using extensive private archives the film questions the benefits and dangers of diagnoses.
