You can’t fake being passionate about your job… and trust me, I’ve tried to play it cool. 😂

But when you genuinely LOVE what you do, it’s pretty hard to shut me up about it.

Pregnancy? I’m in.
Birth preparation? Let’s talk about it.
Pelvic floor? Yep, we’re going there.
Endometriosis and pelvic pain? I want you to know there are options.
Postpartum recovery? Absolutely.
C-section scars, bladder, bowel, painful s*x, prolapse, leaking? Nothing is too awkward, too weird or “just something you have to put up with.”

Because women’s bodies are fascinating AF … and I’m a little obsessed with helping women understand theirs.

I don’t just want you to leave your appointment feeling “treated”.

I want you to leave thinking:

“Ohhhh… THAT’S what’s happening.” 👏🏼

Because knowledge is powerful.
Understanding your body is powerful.
And advocating for yourself? Even more so.

So yes, I’m passionate about my job.

Borderline annoying about it, actually. 😂

And honestly? I’ll take that.

An ode to womanhood. 🤍

Keeping up with CPD.
Trying to stay evidence-based.
Building An Ode to Womanhood.
Dreaming up new clinic ideas.
Finding the right spaces to work from.
Paying bills.

Book Week costumes.
Ballet.
Sports.
Birthdays.
Lunchboxes.
Uniforms.
Homework.
Who needs what for tomorrow.
What’s for dinner?
Have I bought groceries?
Did someone feed the dog?
Where are the shoes?!
Trying to exercise.
Trying to eat well.
Trying to sleep enough.
Trying to be present with my kids.
Trying to be present with my patients.
Trying to be a good friend.
Trying to be a good mum.
Trying to build something meaningful.
Trying to remember that I’m a person too.

…and somewhere in between all of that:

“Oh s**t. I forgot to put the washing on.” 😂

Entrepreneurship is glamorous like that.

To every woman carrying 47 tabs open in her brain at once
I see you. 🤍

An ode to womanhood.
The beautiful. The messy. The completely overwhelming.

An ode to the breastfeeding journey 🤍

Breastfeeding can look completely different with every child.

One baby feeds easily.
Another takes time to find their rhythm.
One feeds for months.
Another for years.
One journey feels natural.
Another is filled with challenges, tears, pumping, bottles, supplements or support.

And sometimes… you do everything you can, and breastfeeding still doesn’t look the way you imagined.

That doesn’t make you any less of a mother.

Every baby is different.
Every body is different.
Every feeding journey is different.

There is no “right” way for breastfeeding to look.

What matters is that you and your baby are supported, nourished and cared for. 🤍

An ode to every mother finding her own way through motherhood.

5 facts about C-section scar release

1. Your scar is more than what you see on the skin.
A C-section involves multiple layers of tissue, including skin, fascia and connective tissue. Healing can create changes in how these layers glide and move.

2. Scar tissue can affect movement.
Some women notice pulling, tightness, sensitivity or reduced mobility around their scar — sometimes even months or years after their C-section.

3. You don’t have to have pain for scar work to be useful.
Scar mobility can be assessed even when the scar feels completely pain-free. The goal isn’t simply to treat pain, but to support comfortable movement and tissue mobility.

4. Scar work shouldn’t be aggressive.
Effective scar therapy isn’t about “breaking up” scar tissue or causing pain. Gentle, progressive techniques can be used to work with the tissues and their tolerance.

5. Your scar is part of your postpartum body — not something you need to “fix.”
C-section scar care can be about reconnecting with your body, improving comfort and movement, and understanding how your tissues have healed.

Important: Scar work should only begin once the incision is appropriately healed, and techniques should be individualised. If there is significant pain, redness, swelling, discharge or wound separation, seek medical assessment rather than performing scar massage.
