Pack the picnic blanket and the sun hats—a beautiful morning out is waiting!
The annual Tiny Beginnings, Strong Futures – Welcome to Baby Festival is back, and it’s completely FREE for local families with little ones under 5!
Hosted by Act for Kids and CQID, they are turning the Hervey Bay Botanic Gardens into a hub of love, laughter, and serious toddler fun. If you’re looking to connect with other local parents, chat with early childhood professionals, or just let the kids burn some energy in a safe space, this is for you.
What’s on for the family:
🐾 Petting Zoo – Come meet and feed some friendly animals!
🏰 Soft Play Area & Jumping Castle – Safe, active fun perfect for infants and toddlers.
🎨 Face Painting & interactive games.
🌭 Free Sausage Sizzle & exciting lucky door prizes!
There will also be a beautiful traditional Welcome to Country, plus friendly faces from Queensland Health, Queensland Education, and local support networks to answer any parenting questions you might have in a relaxed, no-pressure environment.

Don't forget, if you had a child born in 2025, they are eligible to receive a special personalised certificate that will be presented on the day by a representative of the Fraser Coast Regional Council.
