Understanding Core Supports
Core Supports are often the largest part of an NDIS plan, but many participants and families aren't always sure what they can be used for
Core Supports are designed to help with everyday activities and increase independenceDepending on your plan, this may include support with personal care, community access, assistance around the home, transport, consumables, or support to participate in social and community activities
One of the benefits of Core Supports is that they can often provide flexibility, allowing funding to be used where it is needed most to help achieve your goals
Understanding how your Core Supports funding can be used can help you get the most out of your NDIS plan and ensure the supports you access are working towards what matters most to you.
If you're unsure about your Core Supports funding or how it can be used, speaking with your Support Coordinator can be a great place to start
