We usually give the remote control of our minds to someone else or some situation. We are going to take the remote control in our own hands and not give it to someone else. So, we can watch this channel, enjoy it and shut it off.!

There are three things: the Self, the senses, and the object, or the world. And there are three words: sukha, pleasure; dukha, sorrow; and sakha, companion. These have one thing in common: "kha," which means "senses."
The Self through the senses experiences the world. When the senses are with the Self, that is pleasure (sukha), because the Self is the source of all joy or pleasure. When the senses are away from the Self (dukha) -- in the mud, lost in the object -- that is misery. Mud, misery, mind -- they are very close.

Self is the nature of joy. In any pleasant experience, you close your eyes; you smell a nice flower, or you taste or touch something. So “Sukha” is that which takes you to the Self. “Dukha” is that which takes you away from the Self. Sorrow simply means that you are caught up in the object, which goes on changing, instead of focussing on the Self.
All the sense objects are just a diving board to take you back to the Self.

Sa-kha, companion, means: "He is the senses." Sakha is one who has become your senses, who is your senses. If you are my senses, it means I get Knowledge through you; you are my sixth sense. As I trust my mind, so I trust you. A friend could be just an object of the senses, but a sakha has become the very senses.
The sakha is the companion who is there in both the experiences of the dukha and of sukha. It means one who leads you back to the Self. If you are stuck in an object, that wisdom which pulls you back to the Self is sakha.

Knowledge is your companion and your companion is Knowledge. And the Master is nothing but the embodiment of Knowledge. So “Sakha” means, "He is my senses, I see the world through that wisdom, through Him."
If your sense is the Divine, then you see the whole world through the Divinity.

*TAKE IN AN ATOM*
The mind lives on "'more.'" Misery starts with "wanting more and more." Misery makes you dense and keeps you on the surface level of life.

The Higher Self is subtle. To move from dense matter to the subtle, you go through the finest level of creation---the atom.

To overcome aversion, hatred, jealousy, cravings, or entanglements, you have to go to the atom, which means accepting a teeny tiny bit of all this creation.
It may be difficult to accept something you don't like, but you can definitely accept a tiny bit of it --- an atom. This acceptance has to be done in a meditative state. The moment you accept that one atom, you'll see change happen.

This process can also help you feel more satisfied with those things you like in life. For example, suppose you love someone-you want more and more of them, yet there is no fulfillment. When you take in an atom you're saying that just a glance, a word, or a moment will be good enough. When you're satisfied with that, it's enough to bring a shift, and there is fulfillment. Take just one atom of that person, and that's enough to bring fulfillment to you.

Though the river is vast, a little sip quenches your thirst. Though Earth has so much food, just a little bite satisfies your hunger. All that you need are tiny bits. Accept a tiny bit of everything in life---that will bring you fulfillment.

Tonight, go to bed feeling that you are satisfied, taking a tiny part of Divinity with you. Satisfaction comes from the subtle and not from "more and more”.

*THE WAY OUT OF SORROW*
MAY 28, 1997 MARSEILLES, FRANCE

If you're unhappy, check if one or all of these is lacking in you:
• Acceptance • Centeredness • Letting Go (of your small, individual needs and desires.

Acceptance is agreeing with the moment, total acceptance of all pleasant or unpleasant situations.
Centeredness means I want nothing, and I am nothing---I've dropped all the labels I put on myself.
Letting Go is "I am here for you, for your joy."
If you're grumbling, then these are lacking.

When you accept the situation, you can't grumble.
When you come from a state of centeredness (I don't want anything), you don't grumble.

And if you let go of your own needs, you'll have no complaints. If you don't do these willingly, you'll do them later in desperation. First you'll say, "Nothing can be done."Then next in anger, you'll say, "I give up; I want nothing,'" and finally, "I have no choice---to hell with it!"

All these three- acceptance, centeredness, and letting go-purify, your mind and uplift you in joy.

Life is full of interruptions. We need to keep moving. We park ourselves somewhere and then we move again. Now if you park in a wrong place, you need to move sooner, and if you park in the right place, you have freedom to move when you want to. Similarly, you have to park your mind in a safe place. If you have parked your mind in your own garage, nobody can tell you when you should move it. But if you park your mind in somebody else’s garage, they will be after you.

The power of so-called positive thinking might seem to be doing some good in the beginning. It touches you only on the surface level but pushes all that garbage underneath the carpet. How long can it stay there? For a day, two months, one year or two. You will find everything fine and wonderful, “Oh, it works.” And then you see underneath the carpet, it starts stinking. Lots of garbage comes up.

We don’t need to think positive. We don’t need to think negative. We have to transcend the thinking, understand the thinking. Thoughts are like clouds in the space, they come and go. Watch and observe and you will see that you will get onto another plane of existence. That is freedom.

Being a yogi is not about escaping to the mountains or proving spirituality to others. It is the art of witnessing every emotion, embracing every struggle, and remaining fully present through it all.🕉️🧘🏻‍♀️
