"So, where's your actual clinic?"

We get asked this a lot. The honest answer: you're living in it.
Alera Therapy is a mobile physiotherapy team with a neurological focus. Every session happens in your home and your community, not in a treatment room across town.

Research into home-based rehabilitation backs up why that matters. Studies on stroke recovery at home point to a few consistent themes: practising in a familiar environment supports motivation and a sense of control over the process, and working on real tasks in the space where you actually live helps skills carry over into daily life, not just the session. Family members and carers who are part of sessions often feel more confident supporting you too.

Your first visit with us does not happen in a clinic. It happens at your front door.
Here's what it actually looks like.

We call first to understand your goals and check what your funding covers.

Your first session happens in your own home. We look at your real environment, not a treatment room, so the plan fits your actual daily life.

Together we agree next steps before we start.

Nothing to prepare except a bit of space to move and any funding details you've got on hand.

You don’t need a full workout to get your body moving, even small, intentional movements can boost circulation, wake up your muscles, and keep you alert without draining your energy.

Try gentle shoulder rolls, quick marches in place, wrist and ankle circles, or just pause for a deep breath before switching positions. Simple, quick, and effective ways to move your body while respecting your energy levels. 🌿✨

TODAY’S TIP ✨💡

Standing all day while cooking or hosting? Your body deserves a break! Shift your weight, stretch your calves, or take a quick seat, even small pauses help prevent fatigue, improve circulation, and keep you feeling energized. 🦵

Reminder ✨

Progress doesn’t always look loud. Sometimes it’s an arm lifting a little higher than last month. Sometimes it’s a few extra steps without stopping. Sometimes it’s holding your balance just 5 seconds longer, and that counts.

These “small” wins? They’re actually huge. They’re proof your body is learning, adapting, and getting stronger in real life, not just on paper. Big breakthroughs are built quietly, one moment at a time.

So celebrate yourself today. What’s your small win this week? 💪💛

Strength isn’t just PRs, sweat, and gym mirrors 💪✨

It’s standing up without thinking twice. Balancing while brushing your teeth. Carrying the groceries in one trip (because obviously). Moving slow, steady, and confident through your day.

Real strength shows up in the quiet moments, the ones that make life easier, safer, and more independent. That’s the kind that actually matters. And yes… you’re building it every single day 🧠🦵
