Clear Results, Ongoing Gut Symptoms: Where is the Support?

A “clear” colonoscopy or gastroscopy is genuinely good news!!! - it means serious structural disease may have been ruled out.

But what happens when the person is still experiencing bloating, abdominal discomfort, reflux, constipation, diarrhoea or unpredictable bowel habits?

Too often, the conversation seems to end with: “Everything looks normal.”

Normal findings do not mean the symptoms are imaginary, nor do they necessarily mean the digestive system is functioning optimally. This is where I believe nutritional and lifestyle support deserves a much stronger place in ongoing care.

As a Clinical Nutritionist (with a Nursing background), I work alongside medical care to explore factors that may be contributing to persistent digestive symptoms, including:
* dietary patterns and individual food triggers
* fibre type and tolerance
* meal timing and digestive function
* hydration, movement, sleep and stress
* medications and nutrient considerations
* whether further investigation or medical review may be appropriate.

A clear scope should provide reassurance—but it does not always provide the complete answer. People deserve guidance about what they can do next to support their digestive health and quality of life.

If your investigations were reassuring but your symptoms continue, there may still be meaningful avenues to explore. Book in for an initial consult to discuss your concerns

(Persistent, worsening or unexplained digestive symptoms should always be discussed with your GP or medical specialist).

One of the things I love most about the Metabolic Balance® program is that it recognises that no two bodies are the same.

Many of the clients I see are doing “all the right things” and still struggling with fatigue, poor sleep, digestive symptoms, stubborn weight gain, joint aches, brain fog, anxiety, or simply feeling a bit "blah" and unlike themselves.

It’s so easy to put these things down to getting older, being busy, stress, or just life… but our bodies are often trying to tell us something.

Food isn't magic (or is it!?), but it can be incredibly powerful!!

I love helping people become curious about their health and understanding why their body may be responding the way it is.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and that's exactly why I love what I do.

If you've been wondering why you don't feel quite like "you" anymore, I'd love to have a chat. No pressure, no judgement, and no sales pitch—just a relaxed discovery call to explore your health goals and whether a personalised Metabolic Balance® program may be right for you.
Because feeling well shouldn't be left to guesswork. 💚

Pop me a message if you'd like to organise a discovery call. I'd love to hear your story.

Lamb loin chops 🥩🙌
Not only are lamb loin chops delicious (one of my all time favourites), they’re also packed with key nutrients that support metabolic and hormonal health — especially when enjoyed as part of a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables 🥦🥕🫑🌶️🫛🍆

🍎High-quality protein to support muscle mass, metabolism and blood sugar balance
🍏Rich in iron, zinc and B12 to support energy, mood and cognitive function
🍎Provides healthy fats and amino acids that help support hormone production and satiety
🍏Nutrient-dense whole food that can help reduce cravings and support metabolic health.

Pairing quality protein like lamb with colourful vegetables helps support gut health, fibre intake, blood sugar regulation and overall metabolic balance 💚

Simple whole foods really can make a difference.

Today a client shared one of the most profound quotes with me during her Metabolic Balance journey:

“Action creates motivation.”

And wow… that really resonated.
So many of us wait until we feel motivated before we start making changes to our health, nutrition, movement or mindset.

But often, motivation doesn’t come first.
The action does.

One healthy meal.
One walk around the block.
One early night.
One decision to prioritise yourself again.

Small actions create momentum.
Momentum builds confidence.
Confidence fuels motivation.

You do not need to overhaul your entire life overnight.

You simply need to begin.

Your future self will thank you for the action you take today ❤️🍏🍎

Brain fog. Mood swings. Anxiety. Overwhelm. Poor sleep. Emotional exhaustion.

Many women juggling work, family, relationships, parenting, and the endless mental load of daily life often put themselves last — until their body and mind start asking for help.

While perimenopause can certainly amplify these symptoms, women of all ages can experience the effects of stress, inflammation, poor sleep, blood sugar instability, and nutrient depletion on their mental wellbeing.

A personalised, nutrient-dense, anti-inflammatory way of eating can play a powerful role in supporting mood, focus, energy, emotional resilience, sleep quality, and nervous system regulation.

Sometimes it’s not about “trying harder.”
Sometimes the body simply needs proper nourishment and support 🍏🍎

I’ve attached a really insightful podcast discussing women’s mental health and the importance of supporting ourselves through the demands of modern life.
Definitely worth a listen.

Day 7 of my Metabolic Balance reset 💥🍎🍏

Wow — what a difference a week can make.
Here’s what I’ve experienced so far:
✔️ A significant boost in energy (no more dragging myself through the day)
✔️ Clearer thinking and increased alertness
✔️ A huge reduction in that uncomfortable upper abdominal bloating
✔️ More regular, happy digestion 🙌
✔️ 1kg weight loss 😉 - inflammation

It’s such a powerful reminder of how quickly the body can respond when we give it the right support.

And also… a reminder that this isn’t about perfection — it’s about coming back to what works for your body, again and again ❤️💚

If you’ve been feeling flat, bloated, or “not quite yourself” — I see you. This is your nudge that things can shift.

More updates to come…

Even Superman had his kryptonite!…..
And right now, I’m owning mine.

As a Clinical Nutritionist and Metabolic Balance practitioner, I’m usually the one supporting you…But the truth is — I needed a reset too.

Life happens.
New relationships 💛
Busy days
Emotions
Comfort eating
Not prioritising myself…

And then there’s menopause.
Because let’s be honest —I can’t get away with what I used to.
My body responds differently. Inflammation shows up quicker. Energy dips harder.
Who can relate?

I’ve just completed Phase 1 of my own Metabolic Balance program — the same one I use with my clients.
And I’ll be honest… I’ve felt inflamed. Not quite like myself. And further off track than I realised
(I’m sharing a current photo for accountability — real life, not perfection.)

What’s your kryptonite?
Stress? Relationships? Work? Family? Social life?Emotions? Being time-poor? Not putting yourself first?

Here’s what matters most:
No matter who you are or what you know — we ALL need support with our health.

Even practitioners.

Especially during menopause, when everything is shifting.

That’s where having a Clinical Nutritionist beside you can make all the difference — to guide, support, educate, and help you reset when life pulls you off track.

I’m also sharing a resource on how a personalised Metabolic Balance plan is created — because your health is never one-size-fits-all.

If you’ve been feeling off…Maybe this is your sign to reset too 💛

No perfection. Just progress.

💭 The Cycle of Change…
Have you ever known something needs to change… but found yourself stuck on what to do next? You’re not alone.

Change isn’t a straight line—it’s a cycle we all move through:
* Awareness – that moment you realise something isn’t quite right
* Contemplation – weighing up the “should I… shouldn’t I?”
* Action – taking those first steps forward
* Rebound – slipping back into old habits (yes, this is part of it too)

Here’s the thing… this is human.

Our choices are shaped by so many factors—stress, time, energy, family, habits, emotions. It’s not about willpower or “being better”—it’s about support, guidance, and having a plan that actually works for you.

Change requires change… but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

Sometimes, it simply starts with a conversation
A call. A click. Booking that first appointment.

From there—we take it one step at a time.
Together x

Lime obsessed… and not sorry about it! 💚🍋

I spent Sunday at the beautiful Watercress Creek Olive and Lime Farm talking all things nutrition (my kind of day 😄), and WOW—these little citrus gems seriously deserve the spotlight!

Why I’m loving limes right now:
Vitamin C = immune system support
Collagen support for glowing skin, strong joints & a happy gut
Antioxidants to help combat everyday stress And let’s be honest… they make EVERYTHING taste better (zest lovers, I see you 🙌)

Fun little nugget you might not know…
Limes start out green and, as they ripen, they turn more yellow and slightly sweeter 🍋
That’s because their natural sugar content increases as they mature—so you get different flavours at different stages. How good is that?!

So whether you love them fresh and zesty or a little softer and mellow… there’s a lime for you 😍

And if you’ve got a juicer hiding in the cupboard… this is your sign to bring it back to life. YUM!!

If you’re dealing with low energy, gut issues, or just not feeling your best—and want to learn how to use simple, everyday foods (like this!) to support your health… come say hi on my page or send me a message. I’d love to help you feel like YOU again 💚
