It’s been a busy six months since my last Instagram update, and I thought I’d share a little about what’s been going on. This will also go up on my page for those who follow me there!

First, as many of you on my Facebook know, I’ve been following the Total Wellness Diet. I was doing really well until a few stressful weeks hit us hard (and we’re still riding that wave). Unfortunately, I’ve put a bit of the weight back on. But I’ve decided not to be too hard on myself. I’m planning to jump back into it once things settle down next week. Sometimes, it’s all about giving yourself grace and starting fresh.

On a happier note, we got some exciting news recently—my oldest daughter was accepted into the high school we were hoping for! This school will provide the support she needs, and we’re so thrilled for her. I can’t believe she only has six days left of primary school. Where has the time gone?

The weekend, however, was a tough one. My littlest ended up in the hospital with croup. Poor thing got so sick when they tried to give her medicine, she ended up vomiting all over the doctor, nurse, herself, and me! Sadly, they ended up having to give her a needle after that ordeal. She’s feeling a bit better now, though.

Finally, some great progress for our middle child—she’s now seeing a specialist who truly understands her condition, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). This doctor is working on a plan to coordinate with the amazing team we already have in place to give her the best care possible.

It’s been a whirlwind, but we’re managing as best we can. Thank you to everyone who continues to follow along and support our journey. I’ll try to post updates more regularly—life permitting!

Take care, and I’ll catch you soon!

Keeping it real here—I promised I’d be open and honest with you all, even when it’s tough. You might’ve noticed I haven’t posted much these past couple of weeks, and I’ll be straight with you: I’ve been feeling ashamed. This morning’s weigh-in showed that I’m back nearly to where I started, and it’s hard to admit. I fell back into old habits and it’s left me feeling upset with myself.

Stress and overwhelm often lead me to make the wrong food choices, but it’s time for a reset. The great thing about the Total Wellness Diet is that it allows you to start over when you need to, and I’m doing just that.

One of the biggest challenges for me has been the time spent in the kitchen preparing meals—balancing that with raising three kids, getting them to their appointments and school, taking care of the house, and trying to build my own business has been overwhelming. So, today and tomorrow, I’m going to go through all the recipes and pick out the ones that fit my lifestyle best—maybe even some repeat meals to simplify things.

I’m also adding more walks with the dog to my routine when my partner is home, since I can’t manage walking with the dog with the pram. Plus, I’m making my mental health a priority—it’s time to give it the attention it deserves.

My goals for this week are:
1. Get back on track with my wellness journey.
2. Plan a month’s worth of budget-friendly meals.
3. Establish a walking schedule that works for me.
4. Dedicate time for mental health practices like meditation, reading, and drawing.

Here’s to progress, one day at a time! 🌿✨

I promised to share the good, the bad, and the ugly, and right now, I’m feeling a bit lost. I’ve been trying so hard to stay positive and stick to my eating plan, but lately, I’ve been struggling. This morning, I had a full-on emotional breakdown after stepping on the scale and seeing I’ve gained weight instead of losing it. I know I shouldn’t be checking until Sunday, but I couldn’t help myself. Life’s daily stresses have really been piling on, and for those who know me, I’m not one to cry easily—but today, I hit my breaking point.

For the next few days, I’ll continue with my eating plan, but I’m going to take a step back from working out. It’s time to focus on a little self-care and give myself space to recharge. Sometimes, we just need to take a breather, and that’s okay

Weekly Update
I’m feeling a bit disappointed this week. I thought I made the right food choices while I was away, but I ended up gaining 1.8 kg. It’s frustrating because I don’t feel like I’ve put the weight back on. Starting tomorrow, I’m going to measure myself weekly alongside weighing in. Even if the scale isn’t showing progress, I could still be losing centimeters. I keep hearing that muscle is heavier than fat but takes up less space, so I’m hoping that’s what’s happening! Overall, I thought I did pretty well in Perth, so fingers crossed this is just part of the journey.

Today’s Update 🌟
I’m proud of myself for getting in a lot of walking today—5,000 steps! Tomorrow, I’m setting my goal even higher, aiming for at least 6,000, maybe even 7,000 steps if I can.

It’s been a bit of an up-and-down day, though. Tonight was hubby’s birthday, and we celebrated with pizza. In the past, I could easily eat a whole pizza by myself, but I indulged in five slices this time—and honestly, I think it was way too much. I feel like a kid at Christmas who’s eaten way too much! 🎄🍕

Tomorrow’s going to be busy! My oldest daughter needs to be measured for her high school blazer, and we’ve got a doctor’s appointment in the afternoon. Plus, I’ll be running around doing laundry, hanging it out, and packing our bags for Perth next week.

Originally, it was just going to be me and the girls but because our middle daughter got a last-minute appointment with a neuro paediatrician and it’s the same day as her sister’s appointment, hubby’s coming along too to help out—definitely a packed day ahead! 🙌

**Good Morning!** 🌥️

I wanted to be real with you today about the challenges I’ve been facing on my weight loss journey. As rewarding as it’s been to see progress, there are definitely days where it feels like an uphill battle. It’s not always easy to stay motivated when the results seem slow, or when cravings hit hard, or when I just feel tired.

Sometimes I wonder if all the small steps will really add up, but I remind myself that setbacks are part of the process. It’s not about being perfect every day—it’s about not giving up. I’m learning that consistency, patience, and self-compassion are just as important as the diet and exercise itself.

For anyone else who might be struggling with their journey (whether it’s weight loss or something else), just know that it’s okay to have tough days. Progress isn’t linear, but every bit counts. We’re all doing the best we can, and that’s enough.

Today, I’m choosing to be kind to myself and keep moving forward, no matter how slow the journey might feel. 💚

 Good Morning! 🌞
I woke up today feeling energized and ready to take on the day! Lately, I’ve been really seeing progress on my wellness journey with the Total Wellness Diet, and it feels amazing to be sticking to my goals. 💪✨

Today, I’m focusing on staying active and making healthy choices that fuel my body and keep me feeling strong. Every step I take, no matter how small, is getting me closer to where I want to be.

Feeling good and excited for what’s ahead! 🙌

Every week, the Total Wellness Diet sends out a helpful email, usually with tips, videos, or suggestions. This week’s focus was on reflecting on non-scale victories, and they included a list of questions to guide the process. I thought I’d take some time to answer them.

Do you have more energy?
I’ve noticed that I do have more energy at times, though it often depends on how well I’ve slept the night before.

Do you feel stronger?
I do feel stronger, but I think I could build up my strength a bit more. I’ve been considering going to Rotary Park to use the free gym equipment there to help with that.

Has your confidence increased?
Yes and no. I feel more confident in following the diet and the food choices it includes, but I’m not fully confident in how I look just yet.

Are you sleeping better?
When I do get a good night’s sleep, it feels like I’m sleeping better. However, it can be challenging when the kids are up until 1 or 2 a.m. sometimes.

Has your health improved?
I’d say yes—my health has improved. Even though I’ve only lost 5 kg so far, I’m not breathing as heavily when I go for walks, I’m not getting out of breath as quickly, and I’m sweating less.

Are your clothes fitting more comfortably?
I have noticed a difference in the last few days—my bra straps are falling off my shoulders, and I keep having to adjust them. As for the rest of my clothes, I don’t notice much change yet because I tend to buy clothes one or two sizes bigger, as I like them big and baggy.
