Better late than never! 🌧️🐴

A few weeks ago, even with all the miserable weather, we turned it into a fun training opportunity for the horses.

What you don't see is that our participant jumped right into the fun too—rolling around in the puddles to show Simon there was nothing to be afraid of and that getting wet could actually be enjoyable! 😄💦

It's moments like these that build trust, confidence, and connection. And let's be honest... we can't let the horses have all the fun! ❤️🐎

It's good to have Gem back. 💜

Over the past few weeks, some old behaviours and ways of being resurfaced for Gem. The anxiety and worry that she carries seemed to creep back in and, for a while, it robbed her of the horse she truly is.

Growth isn't always about moving forward. Sometimes it's about recognising when you need to take a step back, pause, and give yourself the time and space you need before taking a leap ahead.

And that's exactly what Gem has done. She was giving something completely new a go — our streamer activity. Watching her curiosity outweigh her worries and seeing her willing to engage with something unfamiliar was a beautiful reminder that progress hasn't disappeared. It's simply been gathering strength beneath the surface.

Welcome back, Gem. We're excited to see where your next leap takes you. 🐴✨

Over the weekend we said goodbye to Heli and Copter as they headed off to be reunited with their family.

They are now back with their aunties and half-siblings, where they can continue being their wonderfully quirky selves.

Their big personalities, endless curiosity, and ability to make us laugh will be greatly missed. While it's hard to see them go, we're excited for what lies ahead—especially for Heli as she begins her journey towards motherhood.

We'll be sure to keep everyone updated when Heli becomes a mum! ✨

🌟PHOENIX UPDATE🌟

I absolutely love receiving updates about horses I've had the privilege of working with, and I just had to share this one with the people who were touched by Phoenix's journey at Horses for Hope.

Phoenix holds a very special place in my heart, and it has been wonderful to see him thriving back home.

Seeing Phoenix so happy, settled, and loved brings a huge smile to my face. Aren't these two new besties just divine? 🥰

At Alison's Equine Embrace listening helps guide where we go in a session and allows us to create meaningful experiences based on individual interests and needs.

Last week, a participant’s strong interest in bins could easily have been seen as a distraction or negative behaviour. Instead, we embraced it and turned it into a positive training opportunity for the horses ✨

The horses were able to experience new movements, sounds, and objects in a calm and supported environment, while the participant felt heard, engaged, and involved in the session.

Sometimes the best outcomes happen when we follow the participant’s lead 💫

Anyone who remembers working with Simon in the horse yard Horses for Hope will remember just how steady… and slooooow… he could be — like he was dragging a ball and chain behind him 😂🐴

Over the last few sessions, we’ve been working on helping Simon show a little more enthusiasm for work and exercise… and look at him go… such a Speedy Gonzales⚡

Turns out Simon does actually have a few extra gears, not just slow and handbrake 🤣

He’s still a work in progress, but Simon is definitely kicking goals and will be fit and trim in no time 💪

Gem hasn’t been the only one learning lately 💛
Breeze gave something new a go, ponying another horse while under saddle. A first for both Breeze and Gem, and safe to say they both rose to the challenge 🐴✨

Gem has been absolutely smashing goals lately, we've really stepped things up!
Heading off the property and out into the world, just two beasties enjoying a cruisy stroll on a beautiful sunny day ☀️ 🐴

🐣🌼 Happy Easter everyone, however you celebrate it! 🌼🐣

I know I don’t need any excuse to eat chocolate for breakfast…
it’s just the one time of year I don’t feel guilty about it! 🍫😄

Hope your day is filled with a little sweetness, a lot of smiles, and maybe just a bit too much chocolate 💛
