A big thank you to Katherine for delivering such a fantastic in-service for our team! 💙

We loved learning more about women’s health, including pre- and postnatal exercise, pregnancy-related injuries and treatment, breastfeeding and its impact, menopause, and how we can continue providing the best possible care for our patients.

And to top it all off, Katie spoiled us with homemade brownies! 🍫 Thank you for sharing your knowledge (and your baking skills!) with us, we really appreciate it! 😊

🎉 Celebrating 2 years of THP! 🎉

Last night our team headed out for a well-deserved celebration to mark our clinic’s 2nd birthday! 🥳

Congratulations to Mitch for taking out the bowling champion title 🎳, and to Hannah for absolutely dominating the arcade games and finishing with the highest score! 🕹️🏆

More importantly, we want to say a huge thank you to our amazing patients, referrers and local community for your support over the past two years. Watching our clinic grow has been incredibly rewarding, and we couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you 💙

Thank you for being part of our journey! 🫶

PRE-POINTE ASSESSMENT 🩰

Thinking about going en pointe? A pre-pointe assessment is a specialised physiotherapy evaluation that determines whether a dancer has the strength, control, alignment, and technique required to safely begin pointe work.

Dancing en pointe places high demands on the feet, ankles, and lower limbs. This assessment helps identify readiness, reduce injury risk, and support long-term, healthy progression in ballet training.

Pre-pointe assessments are now available on Saturdays with lovely physio Hannah 🩷, who also holds an Associate Degree in Dance and has a background in professional ballet with Queensland Ballet 🩰✨.

Book in now online or via phone 📲, or reach out with any questions via the link in bio or by emailing [email protected] 📩

👣 Heel pain holding you back? Plantar Heel Pain (PHP), often called plantar fasciitis, is common in runners and can linger if not addressed! 🏃‍♂️😣

Strengthening exercises are key! Here’s a sample from research-based programmes:
1. Heel raise standing single leg (toes dorsiflexed)
2. Seated weighted heel raise
3. Standing weighted heel raise
4. Seated short foot exercises
5. Big toe plantarflexion banded

These exercises focus on the foot and calf, but some people may also need to strengthen other areas of the body. Non-impact activities like cycling, swimming, and rowing are usually well tolerated while building strength. 🚴🏻‍♀️🏊‍♂️🚣‍♀️

Keep it pain-free and build gradually! 💪
