Back pain and winter are not great friends. If yours has been worse this past month, there's a real reason for it. 🥶

Cold temperatures cause muscles to tighten and spasm more easily. Reduced movement in winter means less circulation to your spinal muscles. And more time sitting at home or at a desk means more sustained pressure on your lumbar discs.

Three changes that help:

1. Keep warm. Layers really do make a difference for muscle tone.
2. Move more, even if it's just a 10-minute walk around the block.
3. Check your sitting posture: lower back supported, feet flat on the floor, screen at eye level.

These help prevent it from getting worse. If the pain has been around for a while, physio gets to the actual root cause rather than just managing the symptoms.

🏃🏽‍♂️Reijl was plagued with chronic back pain limiting what he does most - BUT has made full recovery and is back full force at the gym and running. Amazing work!

👏 Huge progress for Con! Walking more comfortably and tackling stairs with so much more confidence after struggling with ankle and calf pain. Love seeing you get back moving freely again!

💪 Sumita is back doing what she loves — working out consistently again after that ankle sprain! Your hard work and persistence have paid off. So great seeing your confidence and strength return 🙌

🎉 Big win for Brit! From dealing with daily headaches to now only having the occasional one — such an amazing turnaround. So good seeing you feeling and functioning so much better! 👏

🎨 Steven can now paint endlessly again now that his shoulder pain is behind him! So good seeing you back creating comfortably and doing what you love without limitation.

Across sport and life, Shaun’s had his fair share of shoulder, back and knee injuries and that lived experience is what shaped his path into physiotherapy.

With over 16 years experience, he’s worked with a wide range of people from gym-goers and athletes to everyday people just wanting to move better without pain getting in the way.

Favourite part of the job? 🤗
That moment someone says: “I haven’t been able to do that in ages.”

In clinic, Shaun brings a calm, practical approach to rehab, focused on progress you can actually feel, leaving behind overcomplicated jargon with quality treatment and straight forward treatment plans that fit within your lifestyle.
