Hi Carers,

What a wonderful morning at Music Melodies!

Today was another beautiful morning filled with music, laughter, singing, friendship, and plenty of smiles.

A special mention to our musician, who decided Maurine had hidden musical talent! He "hijacked" her from the audience and had her helping out on the tambourine, declaring she had real musical prowess.

Maurine was a fantastic sport, and everyone loved cheering her on.

One of the highlights of the morning was hearing two of our carers speak about how special the Friendly Carers Group is. They shared how much they value the genuine friendships and connections they've made, and how different our group feels from others because everyone is so welcoming, supportive, and truly cares for one another.

Comments like these remind us why the Friendly Carers Group is so important. Caring can often feel lonely, but together we've created a place where carers can laugh, share their experiences, support one another, and know they belong.

Thank you to everyone who came along and made today so special. We can't wait to see you all at our next get-together!

Come along for a morning of music, laughs, great company, and a chance to relax and recharge. Whether you sing along, tap your feet, or just enjoy the food and a chat, there's something for everyone!

Hi everyone, I wanted to share a very special experience.

Yesterday, a huge number of carers were treated to a truly memorable day of respite, generously hosted by TTHA - Accent Home Care & Aged Care Retirement Living.

Our day began with a beautiful High Tea at Collins Coffee House, followed by a performance of Pretty Woman The Musical at the Regent Theatre. Every carer also received a lovely Pretty Woman souvenir to remember the occasion.

Before this event, I wasn't familiar with TTHA - Accent Home Care & Aged Care Retirement Living, but after visiting their retirement living community, I came away genuinely impressed.

The facilities are beautiful, welcoming and exceptionally well presented. They even have their own coffee shop / cafe, beautifully furnished which is a wonderful space for residents, families and visitors to relax and enjoy.

What stood out most, however, was the people. The staff were warm, compassionate and genuinely committed to providing the highest standard of care.

Their interest in the carers attending the event showed just how dedicated they are to supporting not only older people, but also those who care for others every day.

The planning and organisation of the day was outstanding. Every detail had been carefully considered, and nothing was left to chance. There were even registered nurses on the bus to ensure that every carer's needs were looked after throughout the day a thoughtful touch that gave everyone peace of mind.

It was wonderful to hear carers talking about how special they felt and how much they appreciated being recognised and cared for.

I also enjoyed meeting many lovely carers and catching up with Manal and Jennifer from our group. We all had such a fantastic time.

On behalf of everyone who attended, thank you, TTHA - Accent Home Care & Aged Care Retirement Living, for your incredible generosity, kindness and commitment to carers. It was a day that many of us will remember for a long time.
