Hello Carers,

Our Friendly Carers Group is heading back to Bunnings Springvale for another fun workshop!

Date: 9th July
Time: 11:00am start
Venue: Bunnings Springvale

Next month, we’ll be getting creative with a mosaic activity a relaxed, hands-on session where everyone can enjoy making something colourful and unique.

We’re also really happy to share that Bonnie is back with us after some time away following a recent family bereavement.

Good company, a friendly chat, and a creative morning together, exactly what our carers group is about.

Friendly Carers Group Monthly Morning Tea

Hello Carers,
It's time for another Friendly Carers Group Morning Tea, and we'd love you to join us!

Caring for a loved one can be rewarding, but it can also be physically and emotionally demanding. That's why taking time out for yourself is so important.

Our monthly Morning Tea provides carers with an opportunity to step away from their caring role for a few hours, enjoy some well deserved respite, and connect with others who truly understand the carer journey.

Whether you're a regular attendee or considering joining us for the first time, you'll find a welcoming and supportive group of people ready to share a cuppa, a laugh, and a conversation.

The Friendly Carers Group is more than just a social gathering. We provide:

• Peer support and understanding from fellow carers

• Information about services and resources available to carers

• Referrals to organisations that can provide additional support and assistance

• Opportunities to build friendships, reduce isolation, and strengthen community connections.

Many carers tell us they leave feeling refreshed, informed, supported, and reminded that they are not alone.

We invite everyone to bring along a small plate to share. Whether it's something homemade or store-bought, your contribution helps make our morning tea a special community gathering.

Hello Carers,

Come along and join us for a fun and relaxing Christmas in July celebration at the Lynbrook Hotel!

Being a carer is rewarding, but it can also be demanding. Taking time out to connect with others who understand the caring role can provide a valuable opportunity to recharge, share experiences, enjoy some laughter, and focus on your own wellbeing for a change.

As carers, we often spend so much time supporting others that we forget to look after our own wellbeing.

I would like to recommend Linda Stinton, a dedicated and compassionate psychologist who supports individuals, families, and carers through life’s challenges.

Professional support can be very helpful when managing stress, anxiety, grief, burnout, and the demands that come with a caring role.

Hi Carers,

We had a good turnout today for our Friendly Carers Group End of Month Get-Together at Market 3196.

It was great to spend the afternoon sharing conversations, laughter, support, and friendship with fellow carers within our community.

A very special welcome to Lauralee and Jayne, who joined us for the first time today. We hope you both felt warmly welcomed and enjoyed being part of our support group.

We look forward to seeing everyone again at our next respite event.

Hi lovely Carers,

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made our Friendly Carers Group lunch such a happy and memorable gathering.

The atmosphere was full of laughter, friendship, and support, exactly what our group is all about.

The food was absolutely excellent, with so many delicious meals and refreshments enjoyed by all.

It was lovely to see everyone relaxing, chatting, and having such a great time together.

A very special welcome to our carers who joined us today for the first time, Heather, Jenny, Elaine, Annie, and Michelle.

It was wonderful to meet you all, and we hope you felt warmly welcomed and enjoyed being part of our caring and supportive community.

Thank you again to everyone for making the day so special.

Just a reminder for those attending Waves Restaurant ( tomorrow) on Wednesday the 20th at 12:30pm, parking directly in front of the venue is paid parking.

There are also two disabled parking spots near the entrance, along with additional parking spaces available before reaching the venue.
