To every man carrying more than he lets on…
I hope you remember you were never meant to carry it all alone.
I hope one day you put the armour down. Not because you’ve become weak, but because you’ve realised you don’t need it anymore.
I hope the things handed to you by the men before you, the silence, the pressure, the belief that you have to hold everything together, don’t become the things you hand to your kids.
I hope you have the courage to sit with what hurts instead of running from it.
To ask for help.
To say “I’m not ok.”
To cry if that’s what needs to happen.
Not because those things make you less of a man…
But because they make you more human.
I hope you find men you can sit beside a fire with.
Men who don’t need you to pretend.
Men who’ll tell you when you’re full of s**t, but love you enough to stay while you work through it.
I hope you become the husband your wife feels safe beside.
The father your kids run to.
The son your parents are proud of.
The elder the next generation seeks out.
Not because you were perfect.
But because you kept doing the work.
Maybe that’s what being a man really is.
Not having all the answers.
Not never falling.
Just getting back up.
Owning your mistakes.
Protecting what matters.
Leaving the people you love better than you found them.
If you’re carrying something today…
You don’t have to carry it forever.
We’re not meant to walk this path alone.
