🌿 Nechamah Reflection No. 2 | Frankincense

Welcome to Nechamah Reflection No. 2.

Today we pause with Frankincense—an essential oil that has long been treasured and is famously known as one of the gifts presented to Yeshua by the wise men (Matthew 2:11). Throughout Scripture, frankincense is associated with worship, prayer, and devotion, reminding us to draw near to God's presence.

As we reflect on today's Bible verse, may the gentle aroma of frankincense become a simple reminder to quiet our hearts, lift our prayers to the Lord, and place our trust in Him.

Each Nechamah Reflection is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, meditate on God's Word, explore the richness of biblical Hebrew, and discover how the gifts of God's creation can complement moments of prayer and reflection.

When life feels uncertain, it's easy to search for answers, control, or reassurance in the world around us. Yet God gently reminds us that our first refuge is found in Him.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."
— Psalm 46:1

This verse has been especially close to my heart recently as people I love are facing illness. In moments when I wish I could take away their pain, I'm reminded that I can entrust them to the One who is always present, always faithful, and always strong.

No matter what season you're walking through, you don't have to carry it alone. God is not distant from your pain—He is present within it. He is your refuge when life feels overwhelming, your strength when yours is fading, and your constant source of hope when the path ahead seems unclear.

Today, take a moment to pause. Breathe deeply. Bring your worries before Him in prayer and rest in the assurance that He is with you.

May your heart find comfort in His presence and peace in His promises.

The author of Hebrews reminds us that it is our responsibility to seek and actively pursue peace, to make every effort to live in peace with everyone, while living a life that aligns with God's word.
Living a holy life gives the opportunity for others to see God working in our lives.
As we strengthen our relationship with God the way we interact with those around us should change. 🌸💞

Nechamah (נֶחָמָה) 🌿

Nechamah (נֶחָמָה) is a beautiful Hebrew word meaning comfort, consolation, and compassionate reassurance.

It comes from the Hebrew root nacham (נחם), meaning to comfort, console, or bring relief to someone in sorrow or distress.

In the Bible, Nechamah isn't simply about feeling better—it points to the comfort that comes from God's presence. It is the kind of comfort that gently meets us in our grief, strengthens us in our weakness, and reminds us that we are never alone.

"Comfort and keep comforting my people says your God." — Isaiah 40:1

✨️ Announcement ✨️
I wish to advise my lovely followers I am now offering the divine ArōmaTouch Massage FREE to all parents and carers of people living with Epilepsy 💜
It has been 12 months since my gorgeous warrior, Sadie, was diagnosed with Genetic Generalised Epilepsy. We had a tough 6 months working out causes, triggers, medication, management plans, etc, and things got a lot worse before they got better 😔 There were so many unknowns, and there still are.
During this time, while my girl amazed me with her courage and resilience and took it all in her stride, I struggled. I felt so alone, and to be honest, I was terrified a lot of the time. I was even diagnosed with PTSD at one point after witnessing so many episodes and feeling completely helpless. Even though I know our journey to date has been nothing compared to the journey of some families, it nearly broke me 💔
Fast forward to now, and we have the right medication, support, and a better (only slightly) understanding of the condition, and my girl has been seizure free for over 6 months 🙌
Knowing that Sadie's health is improving every day, and after a lot of self-care, my mental and emotional health is now almost fully restored 💞 I would like to pay forward my gratitude for this by opening my door to anyone who has been or is on this same journey 😊
