🚢😂 FROM CIRCULAR QUAY TO CONVICT DAYS — NDMHS TAKES ON COCKATOO ISLAND!

This month’s NDMHS adventure took us out of the office and onto the ferry! 🌊

From Circular Quay we sailed away,
Cockatoo Island was the destination of the day! 😄

The crew explored one of Sydney Harbour’s most fascinating historic places — from old convict buildings and sandstone structures to the island’s incredible shipbuilding past.

Cockatoo Island, traditionally known as Wareamah, later operated as a convict penal establishment from 1839–1869 and became an important shipbuilding and repair centre for more than a century. Today, its historic Convict Site forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Australian Convict Sites. ⚓🏛️

There was history to discover, harbour views to enjoy and, because it was the NDMHS crew… plenty of laughs along the way. 😂

Some teams have meetings... we decided to hang off walls instead! 😂🧗

NDMHS team swapped the office chairs for climbing harnesses and headed from Liverpool to Indoor Rock Climbing in Marrickville for an unforgettable team-building day.

Before the fun even started, Faria arrived early and literally stood in the middle of a parking spot to save it for us. That's dedication... or maybe elite-level parking management! 😂👏

For every one of us, it was our first time rock climbing. Some climbed like mountain goats, others discovered gravity was their biggest supporter! There were plenty of laughs, a few dramatic falls (don't worry—we were safely harnessed), and even more cheering each other on.

We climbed up high, we slid back down,
Still wore the biggest smiles in town.
If climbing fails, don't lose your grin...
Pizza is where the real wins begin! 🍕😂

And speaking of pizza... after working up an appetite, we finished the day at the Marrickville shops enjoying some well-deserved slices before heading back to the office.

At NDMHS, we're more than colleagues—we're a team that laughs together, supports one another, and isn't afraid to step outside our comfort zones.

A huge thank you to everyone who made the day so memorable. Here's to more adventures (and maybe a little less gravity next time)! ❤️💙
