💜 • THAT’S A WRAP • 💜

As of today, Grow With Me Occupational Therapy is officially closed, other than some administrative duties that will be tied up over the coming weeks.
It feels surreal to write those words after 6.5 years of supporting children, families, and our community. While this chapter has come to an end, we are choosing to look back with immense gratitude for the journey we’ve shared.

This photo was taken at our final team dinner—a special evening to celebrate everything we achieved together. We were only missing Charlee, who is currently enjoying an overseas adventure, and Ellen, who is patiently awaiting the arrival of her newest little family member.

To our incredible team- past and present: thank you. Your compassion, dedication, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to the children and families we supported have been the heart of Grow With Me OT. Every milestone celebrated, every challenge navigated, every smile shared, and every life touched is a reflection of the extraordinary people who have been part of this team. It has been an absolute privilege to work alongside each of you, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything we’ve accomplished together.

To every family who trusted us, every school, kindergarten, early learning service, fellow allied health professional, medical practitioner, support coordinator, and community organisation who partnered with us—thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. Your trust and support have meant more than words can express.
Grow With Me OT may have closed its doors, but the relationships we’ve built, the impact we’ve had, and the memories we’ve created will stay with us forever.

• THE END OF AN ERA•

Yesterday we handed back the keys to our beautiful little clinic.
It’s sad to say goodbye to a space that has served our company and community so well, but we are grateful for all of the opportunities it afforded us.

This week our team are all busy working from home to make sure that each of our clients have discharge summaries to handover to their new therapists, and/or NDIS review reports so that they are set up for success as they step into their next chapter.

If there is anything else that you need from us please let us know ASAP before our team wrap up at the end of the week!

Today marks the beginning of our final client-facing week at Grow With Me OT.
As our current and waitlist families already know, during the last school holidays we made the difficult decision that this would be our final term after 6.5 wonderful years of supporting children and families in our community.
This decision has not been made lightly. As a team, we have some exciting life chapters ahead, including babies due in the coming weeks and months, final years of study underway, and new career opportunities on the horizon. Alongside these changes, the evolving disability and early intervention landscape has meant that we no longer feel we can provide the level of support our community deserves while staying true to the values and quality standards that have always guided our work.
As Director, it is incredibly difficult to close the doors of a service that we have poured so much into and that has meant so much to so many families. The impact this will have on our community is certainly not lost on us. While we may not be in a position to navigate the challenges ahead, please know that we will always remain passionate advocates for children, families, and equitable access to high-quality supports.
For those members of our team who are not heading on maternity leave or continuing their studies, we are pleased that they have found local roles and will continue supporting families within our community.
As we enter our final week as Grow With Me OT, our focus remains exactly where it has always been: providing meaningful, high-quality support to the families we work with and making the most of every remaining session.
To every client, family, staff member, contractor, school, kindergarten, ELC, allied health colleague, and community partner who has been part of our journey—thank you. We are incredibly proud of what we have built together over the past 6.5 years and deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in us.

1 whole year of Emma!

We are so lucky to have Emma on the team. Though she has only been with us for a year, she has contributed so much through her knowledge and ideas.

Emma has started up our OT Connect parent sessions available with no waitlist to the whole community for anyone looking for direct parent supports - whether that be ongoing or as a once off.
Emma saw the gap in opportunities for waitlist families or people just wanting some advice from an OT and so this initiative is all off the back of her idea.
These sessions can be booked directly through our website so if you would like the opportunity to work with Emma or know someone who is in need of some OT support, head to our website and check out Emma’s availability (the ‘stuck on waitlists’ tab).

We can’t wait to see what else Emma will achieve with our team in the coming years.

Meet Chantelle!

Chantelle has her first day out on the road today meeting clients after spending the last few weeks behind the scenes completing training, reading case files and conducting parent meetings.

Chantelle joins Grow With Me OT with 8 years of experience working across hospital and community based OT settings across Victoria. She is passionate about helping children to achieve their developmental milestones and occupational goals, as well as supporting their mental wellbeing.

We are so pleased to have Chantelle joining our team and wish her the best of luck with her first client-facing day. We hope you will all join us in welcoming her to the Grow With Me team 💜

Appreciation post to the wonderful, Ellen!

Even with her own crew of little kids at home she is always showing up for her clients and making sure they have the very best support.

Thank you for all that you do Ellen 🩷 We feel lucky to have had you as part of the Grow With Me OT team for the last 3 years, and hopefully for many more to come!

What a week we had at Ready Rocket last week 🙌🏻

Our group had a blast, rocketing around the galaxy, learning about our emotions, energy levels and ways we can regulate our body.
This program is always a favourite of ours!

We’re looking forward to seeing all of your faces again in the coming weeks with the new school year starting up. Please reach out with any reports needed in term one as our OTs currently have plenty of admin time before regular sessions will ramp back up.

Groups start tomorrow!

We can’t wait to meet each of our group members tomorrow morning and we look forward to a fun week together ☺️

Unfortunately we have had a couple of last minute cancellations so we have 2 spots up for grabs if anyone has been umming-and-ahhhing about joining in Ready Rocket this week, this is your sign to go for it!

The group will run from 9am- 11am each morning of this coming week and focused on teaching children aged from 7-11 years about their emotions. The aim is to help kids to recognise the signals that their body is sending them to identify their emotion and energy level. Once we can do that, we then learn to regulate and adjust our energy levels to suit the next activity that we need to do, if necessary, by powering up or powering down. The space theme brings it all together with fun activities that we have fun doing together.

Merry Christmas from our Grow With Me OT family, to yours 🎅🏻

Our team were able to celebrate the end of a big year with a wonderful lunch by the ocean at (minus a couple who unfortunately couldn’t make it). It is always so nice to spend time with our team, have some fun and enjoy each other’s company.

We hope everyone is able to enjoy some time with family and take some time to relax and rejuvenate, ready for 2026.
We have some exciting news coming for you in the new year, but for now we will be taking a break until we return for our groups on January 12th.
If you haven’t seen it yet, we have one spot left in Ready Rocket and a couple left for Baking Buddies.
If you cannot commit to a full week program, Baking Buddies is a great program to consider for building social skills and cooperation through cooking (which the kids LOVE)- with single sessions being an option for this one.
