I DID IT! I COMPLETED MY PSYCHIC SURGERY PRACTITIONER TRAINING!
When I began Psychic Surgery through the School of Mastery with Claire Gorman , I was already on a deep journey of healing, self-discovery and reconnecting with parts of myself I'd felt disconnected from for a long time.
I came into this training with an open heart and a lot of questions. With my background in veterinary nursing, wildlife biology and naturopathy, I was particularly interested in how I could bring together my practical knowledge, my intuitive gifts and my deep connection with animals.
But this journey also brought up some unexpected challenges. (Hello more growth!)
Over the years, I'd noticed a pattern of becoming physically unwell around spiritual courses and training, and Psychic Surgery brought some of those questions to the surface again. There were times I felt exhausted, overwhelmed and uncertain. I questioned myself, my capacity, and how to find a way of working that genuinely supported both my wellbeing and my growth.
I've come to appreciate that I don't have to choose between the spiritual and the practical. I can respect both. I can remain curious about what I receive intuitively while also honouring what the physical world is telling me.
This has been especially meaningful in my animal work. My veterinary knowledge gives me an understanding of the physical animal, while my intuitive connection allows me to explore another dimension of how I relate to them. Learning to recognise the difference between these roles, and how they can complement one another, has been an important part of finding my own way.
There was also a deeper personal shift happening throughout this process. I began to recognise that devotion doesn't have to mean obligation, and that I don't need to push myself beyond my limits to prove my commitment to my path.
Sometimes the most important thing is to pause, receive and allow things to unfold rather than constantly searching for the next thing to do.
When Claire described me as a “Bridge Builder,” something really clicked. I realised this might be an archetype I've carried throughout my life — someone drawn to the places where different worlds meet, who can hold space for different perspectives without needing to choose sides.
Spiritual and practical. Energetic and physical. Human and animal.
Perhaps I haven't needed to become someone new. Perhaps I've been learning how to bring all the different parts of myself together.
I'm leaving this training with a deeper appreciation for discernment, a greater sense of permission to trust my own way of working, and a technique I'm excited to continue exploring, particularly in my connection with animals and my vision for Sacred Hooves & Hearts.
Like an alchemist, I want to take all the qualifications I've learned, everything I've experienced and everything I'm continuing to discover, and explore how these pieces can work together in a way that is uniquely my own.
I'm grateful for Claire's encouragement to keep asking questions, to keep documenting what I receive, and to continue developing through practice. I've also been reminded that my own wellbeing matters, and that I deserve to feel supported as I grow into this work.
I'm excited to see where this path leads and how these modalities can merge together to help both humans and animals.
Watch this space!
