One of the most important things you can teach your child is how to call 000. Knowing what to say, their home address, and when to ask for help are life skills that could make all the difference.

Even better, if they know their DRSABCD, they're already building the confidence to respond in an emergency.

At First Aid For You – First Aid for Kids, we make learning fun, practical and age-appropriate, giving children the confidence to stay calm and know what to do until help arrives. The program teaches real-life emergency skills in an engaging way for schools, OSHC services, community groups and families.

💙 What an incredible two weeks of First Aid for Kids! 💙

As the school holidays come to an end, I'd like to say a huge thank you to all the schools, libraries, community groups and families who welcomed me over the holidays.

Over the past two weeks we have:
✅ Delivered 17 First Aid for Kids sessions
✅ Taught 400+ children and family members essential first aid skills
✅ Travelled throughout Gladstone, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Mackay, Sarina and Airlie Beach
✅ Presented sessions in schools, libraries, community groups, holiday care services and private homes

Together we learnt:
🩹 How to call 000 in an emergency
❤️ The basics of helping someone who is injured or unwell
🐍 What to do for snake bites, bites and stings
🔥 How to treat burns and bleeding
🚑 Basic CPR awareness and emergency response

Seeing children leave with the confidence to help in an emergency is why I love what I do. These are skills that can make a real difference and even save a life.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, hosted a session and supported First Aid for You over the school holidays. I can't wait to be back out in the community again soon!

Week 1 of school holidays. What a week it's been! 💙🚑

Over the past week, I had the privilege of teaching 290+ kids life-saving first aid skills during our school holiday sessions! 👏

📍 We travelled through 5 Queensland towns:
✅ Mackay
✅ Airlie Beach - BIG4 Holiday Parks
✅ Gladstone
✅ Rockhampton
✅ Yeppoon Livingstone Shire Council

🚗 Covered approximately 1,600+ km on the road, delivering fun, hands-on first aid education to children across Central and North Queensland.

Every session is about building confidence, teaching practical skills, and helping kids know what to do in an emergency. Watching them learn, ask questions, and gain the confidence to help others makes every kilometre worthwhile.

A huge thank you to all the libraries, schools, OSHC services, community groups, parents and, of course, the amazing kids who joined us this week. Your enthusiasm was incredible! ❤️
