Hi everyone,

I'd like to introduce you to this beautiful little girl, **Stevie**, who we had the absolute pleasure of meeting just three weeks ago.

Since the day she was born, Stevie has been fighting for her life. Born at just **27 weeks and 6 days**, she entered the world tiny but incredibly determined, already showing the strength of a true little warrior.

At only **9 days old**, Stevie developed severe full-body sepsis and suffered multiple brain bleeds. Since then, she has undergone an incredible **11 surgeries**, including **four brain surgeries** and bowel surgery. Stevie also lives with **Cerebral Palsy** and has spent the past two years in and out of hospital receiving the specialist care she needs.

This coming **Friday**, Stevie will undergo yet another major operation to **reconstruct her skull**. The surgery is expected to take **between 8 and 14 hours** if everything goes to plan, followed by approximately **four weeks of recovery in hospital**.

As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for Stevie and her family. Her parents also have another young baby at home and are facing the added financial burden of paying to stay close to Stevie throughout her hospital recovery so they can be by her side every step of the way.

What a day! ❤️

Today was the first time we have ever hosted an event of this scale, and what an achievement it was. While the weather certainly wasn't on our side—with freezing temperatures, strong winds, and unfortunately a few gazebo casualties—it didn't stop so many amazing people from coming out to support the **Access Abilities Christmas in July Inclusion Day**.

We welcomed approximately **600 people** through the gates today. While it wasn't quite the number we had hoped for, it was still an incredible turnout, and we are so grateful to everyone who attended.

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful stallholders and food trucks who braved the blistering cold and windy conditions to support this event. Your dedication and commitment did not go unnoticed. We think if we host this event again in the future, it might just have to be in warmer weather! ☀️

A very special shout-out goes to **Inclusive Artz**, who stepped in without hesitation to save the day when our DJ had to pull out at the last minute. Your generosity and willingness to help meant so much to us, and we will be forever grateful.

Thank you also to all of the disability service providers who brought their participants along to enjoy a day out in the community. Seeing everyone connecting, smiling, and enjoying themselves made all the hard work worthwhile. We truly hope you all had a wonderful day.

Finally, thank you to every volunteer, supporter, sponsor, and every single person who came along. Events like this are only possible because of an amazing community coming together.
