Today, my heart is incredibly full.

The Mornington Peninsula Shire’s annual Dying to Know event brought our community together in the most beautiful, meaningful way.

We saw our biggest turnout ever with nearly 150 beautiful souls filling the room.

For the first time we also used live stream ensuring no one who wanted to connect was left out.

People showed up for themselves, for their loved ones and to embrace the heavy but important conversations around death literacy.

Moments of gratitude: amazing on point speakers, Monique Brown, Dr Nick Carr, and Andres Murphy they share their wisdom on palliative care, voluntary assisted dying, and grief.

I am profoundly grateful to the shire, our committee and the wonderful volunteers who gave their time to make this free event possible.

My deepest appreciation goes to Laurencia from the Shire’s positive aging team. She works tirelessly behind the scenes and seeing the life-changing impact of her dedication makes me more thankful for her than words can say.

I look forward to this event every year. I get to walk along side some of our industry’s best but better than then… today I got to hang with Jen… she even crafted as I was running behind on table decorations and if you know Jen you know that is a big big deal he he

Thank you everyone for today… until next year 🩷🩷

It was special to share this space with some of my kefi clients yesterday…

I know time is precious, I know heading into the unknown when sitting with grief can be hard but seeing you put your trust in something I hand on heart recommend is lovely.

Lovelier is watching the connections being made, the loneliness lighten & grief being allowed to be something your not fighting against but something your learning to live alongside…

Thank you and a reminder we have a grief support group on this Wednesday at Benton’s Square.

Take care, Jen x

As I drive home from my day of meeting families & checking in on a doula client, I can definitely say the miles I put in as a Doula & Funeral Planner are many…

I never really realised how many as I love driving, I always have, but when Carly pointed it out I was like “ ohh yes, my car isn’t called my mobile office for no reason” ha ha

Happy Friday 🩷
