For generations, the women before us, our mothers, grandmothers, and great-grandmothers carried a heavy weight. Not just the weight of their families and communities, but a physical weight they were told to ignore. In those days, there was no name for the pressure, the discomfort, or the "falling" sensation of Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP). There was very little medical understanding, and even less empathy. Women were simply expected to "bear the weight" of womanhood in silence, accepting pain and discomfort as their natural lot in life. That cycle ends with us.Today, we have the knowledge, the language, and the community to talk about our bodies openly. Prolapse is not a "shameful secret" or an inevitable part of aging that you just have to live with. It is a common medical condition that deserves care, treatment, and support. If you are feeling:✨ Heaviness or pressure in the pelvic area✨ A sensation of sitting on a ball✨ Lower back ache or urinary changes just know that you are not alone, and you don’t have to suffer in silence like those who came before. We honor their strength by using our voices today.
📖 Stay tuned! I am so excited to share that my book on this very journey is coming soon. We are moving from silence to strength, together.Have you ever felt like you had to "just deal" with pelvic health issues? Let’s start the conversation in the comments. 👇
