An art class for carers who have a child with disability

About the session: In our April session, we will be exploring the technique of gelli plate printing where we will create different textures and layers on paper. Your artworks can be taken home and framed or used as beautiful homemade cards. No art experience necessary. Sandra, our wonderful art therapist supplies everything that you need for this class.
About Sandra: A person-centred arts therapist, counsellor, and clinical supervisor. Sandra finds her strength lies in relationship and meaningful support of people. Regardless of experience or artistic ability, even if you have never picked up a paintbrush before, no experience is necessary as Sandra guides and encourages you to relax and have fun while exploring ways to express yourself.

💪 On International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, insight, and leadership of Autistic women and gender-diverse people.

For many, the journey to understanding ourselves has been fraught with misunderstanding, masking, and late diagnosis, in a world where autism research and recognition long focused primarily on boys and men.

Today we celebrate the Autistic women who paved the way, those speaking up today, and the girls growing up who deserve to be recognised, supported, and able to be themselves.

This year’s IWD theme, “Give to Gain,” reminds us that when people, organisations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase.

As a kid, I have fond memories of going to the Australian Open with my family and watching all of my favourite players.. (Big Pat Rafter fan! Sampras.. Showing my age now)…
Today was a highlight, venturing out to the AO with the teens group! So many fun moments today as they all experienced being a spectator of tennis matches, cheering on our Aussie players and taking in the atmosphere of the grounds. 🎾

Highly recommend checking out Opening Week of the Australian Open before the draw begins! 🏆
