Every now and then, a patient captures the hearts of everyone at the clinic - and Biscuit is definitely one of them. ๐Ÿ˜ป

Late last year, this tiny stray kitten was handed into our clinic all alone. Dr Jen took her home for a few nights to keep her safe and warm while we searched for the perfect foster home. ๐Ÿก๐Ÿพ

Thankfully, one of our wonderful clients stepped up to foster her and from that moment on, Biscuit's story took a beautiful turn. ๐Ÿ’–

Dr Jen's daughter was the one who gave her the name Biscuit, and she's loved being able to visit her regularly and watch her grow from a tiny, vulnerable kitten into a confident, healthy young cat. ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿฑ

Biscuit recently came back to the clinic for her desexing procedure with Dr Jaqui and nurse Bree and it was such a special moment for our team to see just how far she's come. She has blossomed into the most beautiful young lady, and we couldn't be happier for her and the family who gave her the second chance she deserved.
Biscuit's story is a wonderful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together to help an animal in need.

These handsome boys came in to see Dr Ben and Nurse Makara for their vaccinations, along with their monthly allergy and arthritis injections.

Despite the needles, Rambo and Rocky were absolute stars โญ โ€” they were far more interested in giving Dr Ben lots of kisses and affection and showing off their best โ€œsitโ€ for some treats! ๐Ÿฅฐโœจ

Meet Bodhi, a gorgeous 9-year-old Border Collie who unfortunately learnt the hard way that even the things our dogs love to chew can sometimes cause problems! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’™

๐Ÿฆท Bodhi fractured one of his teeth while chewing on a bone, so he came in to see Dr Jen and Nurse Jemma, who removed the problematic tooth and got him back on the road to a pain-free smile. ๐Ÿ˜Š

โ“ But arenโ€™t bones good for cleaning teeth?

They certainly can do a great job of mechanically cleaning the teeth โ€” but they also come with risks. Hard bones can cause tooth fractures, and thereโ€™s also the risk of choking, gastrointestinal foreign bodies and other injuries. โš ๏ธ

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ Thatโ€™s why we generally recommend safer, veterinary-approved alternatives for dental home-care. There are plenty of options that can help keep those pearly whites clean without the same risks associated with hard bones. ๐Ÿชฅ๐Ÿฆท

Meet Steele, a gorgeous 10-year-old boy who is just about the smoochiest, most affectionate cat you could ever meet! ๐Ÿ˜ป

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ His owners noticed that one of his teeth was sitting at a rather funny angle, so Steele came in to see Dr Penny and nurse Bree to get it checked out.

๐Ÿฆท Steele was admitted for surgery with Dr Nikki, who performed a dental and discovered that his lower right canine was displaced. The troublesome tooth was removed, and Steele is now on the road to a much more comfortable smile! And despite his dental drama, Steele was still more than happy to dish out plenty of cuddles and affection. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•
