This is such a great outcome. He is alive and still loving his family thanks to CPR and defibrillation. Please encourage your family and friends to learn First Aid and CPR. You just never know when it might be needed.

Phil Moore had always been healthy. Then, in his late 50s, his heart stopped suddenly. 💔
Urgent CPR delivered by his wife, brother and community responders, as well as the use of a defibrillator by paramedics on the scene, brought him back. ❤️

Yesterday we trained Year 10 students at a High School in Watsonia and Today the same in Hawthorn. Kudos to the schools for recognising how important First Aid is for everyone, but importantly for young people as they begin to become more independent and navigate their way through adolescence to young adulthood and the ups and downs that come with that.

Another great story of survival. Prompt CPR and the use of an AED. It makes all the difference. Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere, anytime and more than 70% in homes. Please train in First Aid and encourage family and friends to do the same.....and don't forget, workplace and community AEDs make a huge difference!
