So grateful for this beautiful community ā¤ļø

Last weekend I had a belated birthday gathering with the epic humans pictured here (plus those that had left by the time I actually remembered to take a group pic). By the end I was feeling so loved up and it got me thinking about how lucky I am to have so many incredible people in my life!

While I’m lucky to have had lots of amazing friendships and connections throughout the various stages of my life I’ve also been through some pretty hard friendship break-ups, ghostings and transition periods between friendship groups as I changed along the way.

This isn’t uncommon as we walk the path of personal development, healing and/or spirituality. It’s actually quite normal that as we change, people around us no longer align in the way they once did. Not because they’re bad people, but because our interests and values become different. At times this can feel quite lonely or challenging.

I went through a particularly hard time with connection 5 years ago when I chose not to participate in the biggest human experiment of all time and most of my friends chose to stop talking to me or refused to see me anymore. Even though that really hurt, I’m so grateful for the few people that did stick around and that it created space for more aligned connections to come in.

And now, here I am with so many beautiful people in my life and a handful of close soul family 🄰

In more recent years I’ve desired to build more of a ā€˜village’ around us and I’m grateful that Ryan Magic | Freedom & Fulfilment and I are in the process of doing that now.

This doesn’t happen without effort though, it takes time, commitment, reciprocity and patience. Grateful that we’ve been planting the seeds and are already seeing the fruits of our labour.

And so grateful for modalities like Authentic Relating that have been an absolute game changer for my communication and ability to connect deeply with others.

Already excited for the next gathering when we return from our upcoming travels šŸ˜

Had the best time celebrating my birthday over the last few days!

Super grateful Ryan Magic | Freedom & Fulfilment put so much effort into making it such a special day / weekend, filled with so many of the things I love šŸŒ…šŸƒšŸ»ā€ā™€ļøā˜•ļøšŸŒ¹šŸŽšŸ“šŸ“–šŸ’ƒšŸ»šŸŽ¶šŸŒ®ā¤ļø

I find birthdays to be a beautiful time to look back on the year and reflect on the incredible gift it is to be deeply alive and fully human (which includes the full spectrum of experiences). While I’ve had such an incredible year with so many adventures, achievements and beautiful memories, I find myself feeling more and more content regardless of the external as I continue on this path of prioritising fulfilment that Ryan Magic | Freedom & Fulfilment and I teach.

Feeling so deeply grateful for this life and the journey that I’m on, and to all of you that are a part of it in any way!

Massive shout out and thank you to everyone that messaged me and made my day special! 🄰 I’ll be getting back to the rest of the messages in the next day or two.

Excited to see what 34 has in store ✨

When I was feeling into reclaiming this part of myself, I was going to say ā€˜emotional’ or ā€˜sensitive’ but where most of the shame still lies is with the word ā€˜crybaby’.

The phrase ā€˜don’t be a crybaby’ seems scarred in my mind.
A lifetime of conditioning that crying made me a baby, that ā€˜big girls don’t cry’, that crying is bad or weak and something that we just don’t do.

For so much of my life I held back the tears. I bottled them up.
If I really needed to cry, it was only ever on my own in my room.
Nobody ever saw this part of me, or if they did it was a very rare occurrence.

In my early 20s something started happening…

I got to a point where I couldn’t hold it in anymore.
I’d try as hard as I could for as long as I could.
Then something would push me over the edge.

I’d erupt into tears. I could no longer contain them. It’s like I’d reached my capacity and they had no where to go but to spill out.

Then I’d go back to not crying for months on end. For as long as I could.
Until it happened again, the next eruption.

Since then, I’ve done A LOT of work with my emotions and allowing my tears.

Now if they’re there, they’re coming out. I’ve swung the other way. There’s no holding them back anymore.

So while I’m connected to my tears and cry a lot, I still hold some shame around it.
Around how much I cry and around crying in front of other people.

I still don’t feel fully safe to cry around others, even though I do it a lot.a

I fear they’ll say: ā€˜don’t cry’, ā€˜it’s okay, you don’t have to cry’, ā€˜there there, it’ll be alright’.
I fear they’ll feel sorry for me or judge me as weak (another topic for reclamation).
I fear I’ll be the ā€˜downer’ friend or be labeled as the one that’s always crying.

Because there’s a part of me that still judges it as ā€˜bad’.
Bad that I cry so much. Bad to be so sensitive. Bad to still have so much pain inside. Bad to be so connected to my emotions.

I don’t like crying in front of others because I fear they’ll try to fix or change me.
But really it’s because there’s a part of me that still wants to fix or change myself… Because of the judgement part of me has towards it being ā€˜bad’.

Life has been full and it’s been a while since my last reclamation post…

I notice the self judgemental part of me using it as ammunition:
ā€˜You started this series, an experiment in radical self-acceptance, and then you got busy and disappeared… pathetic. You’re hiding again.’

Maybe I am hiding. And maybe this is yet another opportunity for radical self-acceptance.

You see, in the past when I would notice myself ā€˜hiding’ I would make myself wrong for that. I would view it as ā€˜bad’. Telling myself I ā€˜shouldn’t’ hide. That I needed to be be okay being seen, putting myself out there.

But as I continue this path of inner exploration. Of reclamation. Of shadow work and alchemy. I realise now that by making the part of me that wants to hide bad or wrong, I’m further suppressing it.

Rather than loving it, getting curious about it, understanding why it doesn’t feel safe and feels the need to hide, it pushes it deeper into the shadows.

In turn that actually makes the hiding worse. Because it adds to the shame, the guilt, the feeling that there is something wrong with this part of me.

So instead of hiding the part of me that wants to hide. I get the opportunity to reclaim it.

Sometimes I hide.
Sometimes I want to hide.
Sometimes it feels easier not to be seen.
Sometimes I feel that it’s not safe to show certain parts of myself.
Sometimes I feel that I can only show up in certain ways.

So yeah, I hide.

Parts of me are still hidden, even from myself. We all have a shadow, blindspots, things about ourselves we don’t yet know and parts of ourselves we are yet to meet.

But that’s why I’m here. That’s what this experiment of RECLAMATION is all about.

To bring to light the parts of me that I’ve previously hidden. To show you that when there is nothing to hide, there is everything to gain. To show you the freedom that comes from radical self-acceptance.

& to meet more parts of myself that have previously been hidden from my view. To take you along for the ride.

So I’m back. You can expect more reclamation posts in the days and weeks to come.

Until then… I’ll be hiding šŸ˜‰ (or maybe just living my life off the screen).

India flights booked!

So excited to be going back to this sacred land for another 10-day Advanced Spiritual Retreat run by and supported by me ā¤ļø

Last year at this ā€˜Awaken In India’ retreat, I personally experienced so much growth and a noticeable shift in consciousness state. This is despite being a support facilitator and doing less spiritual practice than the official participants. It just goes to show how impactful these practices and this wisdom truly is!

Vedic meditation is a foundational practice that and I practice twice daily, with the advanced practices being woven throughout our sadhana (spiritual practice).

We’re both really discerning where our time and energy goes, but this style of meditation and the associated advanced practices and wisdom seem like a no brainer from the immense rewards they continue to bring.

So grateful to have been shown this path and taught this wisdom by , and immensely grateful to now get to serve alongside him at this Retreat - adding my flavour with the embodiment side of things.

Bring on September and another trip of a lifetime!

If you’re ready for a turbo boost on your awakening journey, please reach out to one of us and we’ll send you the details of this experience - we’d love to share it with you ✨

Super excited to be trip photographer again !

Make sure you scroll to see the last pic! You won’t regret it 🤣🤣

It was a deep dive into a whole new paradigm and way of living. An invitation into choosing fulfilment as a way of life and integrating both spirituality and success, not having to choose one or the other.

A huge theme that permeates this wisdom is moving from fear, to love and truth. Breaking free from what we call ā€˜head hypnosis’ and all of the ways our unconscious fears, patterns and conditioning create suffering in our lives. Using the models, frameworks and tools to provide a roadmap to setting ourselves more and more free.

It feels like such an honour to be trusted as a guide, teacher and facilitator and never something I take for granted. Massive shout out to these 6 incredible humans for choosing to join us on this journey 🄰

Something that feels true for us is that we’re here for those that are devoted to the path of awakening, of truth and depth. Not the dabblers. Those that know there is a better way and are committed to continuing to live from the heart and choose a spirit led life.

Along with getting to teach the incredible wisdom and guide some super potent activities - one of and I’s favourite things about these events is the divine guidance, magic moments and powerful interventions that spontaneously unfold.

It’s hard to put into words the beautiful connections that are formed, the understanding and embodiment that is gained and the healing that happens in these spaces. It’s truly so special!

We’re already excited to do it all again in August! If you’re ready to step into a life of more fulfilment, freedom and presence, message myself or and we’ll let you know the details šŸ¦‹

ā€˜Why am I doing this?! This is crazy. What have I done?!’

I see my protectors coming up, trying to ā€˜keep me safe’. Telling me a hundred reasons why this is a terrible idea and I need to stop this RECLAMATION ā€˜nonsense’.

Shame wants to hide. But it heals in the light.
Sharing things we feel shame around is one of the scariest things we can do.
But it’s also one of the most liberating.

Shame is the densest frequency.
The heaviest emotion.
The most powerful form of fear.

And because it’s so scary to share, we hide it.
Because it’s so scary to feel, we suppress it.

You’d think it would be easier this way.. Never having to go through the discomfort of feeling it or being seen in it. But shame weighs us down. This density and heaviness is exhausting to hold. It sucks our life force energy, dulls our shine and makes us feel unworthy. It causes us to hide parts of ourself. Life becomes a performance.

I talk about suppressed emotions being like an emotional backpack we carry. With all of the unexpressed feelings being added like rocks. Shame being the heaviest rock makes this backpack really damn heavy to carry. But we can take it out. We can hold it, bring it to the light, share it with someone. Even though it feels agonising at times.

If you ever feel unworthy, like you’re not good enough or like you need to be different, I can guarantee you’re holding onto shame. & let me tell you… we don’t need more positive affirmations telling us we’re worthy. We need to address the root of this unworthiness: the toxic shame. The shame that tells us there is something wrong with us. That we’re inherently bad. That we’re broken and need fixing.

RECLAMATION is an experiment in radical self acceptance. In shame slaying. In showing that when I have nothing to hide, I have everything to gain. I’m setting myself free in real time, showing you how good it gets when we stop performing, pretending and proving.

And so even though my protectors are screaming at me to stop, I walk on.
Because even though parts of me are freaking out, I already feel more liberated. I already feel more me. What a gift.

Did I fail at my failure post?! 🤣

lovingly called me forward last night inviting me into releasing shame around a specific time that he knows I feel vulnerable sharing

So, let’s try that again. This is the time I failed that feels scariest to admit…

When I left my full time job a few years ago, I had an amazing launch in my business. I made 15k in a couple of weeks and I was on top of the world. I naively thought this would be my new normal.

I had 60k in savings, all the time to work on my biz and a fire in my belly.

But the part of me that feels like I always need to know more, need to be more qualified, need more support or guidance… that part started running the show.

Before I knew it, I was investing 15k in one program, 4k in another and 1.5k in a third.

I’d already spent more than I’d made.

But it didn’t stop there…

2.5k on a couple of workshops.
1k on another event and the 7k upsell mastermind.

Money on multiple trips interstate.
More on plant medicine journeys.
Photoshoots.

2k on a certification. 4k on another.

Not to mention general spending and my mortgage.

All the while I was trying to work on my business and get some money coming in doing what I loved.

My main freelance role had dried up.

I’d tried to launch my program again, but this time got no one.
Tried a few more times, still no interest.

I spent a while rebranding it, made it cheaper, tried again. Had one sign up.

It didn’t help that I was burnt out from pushing so hard in my previous career, trying to work a full-time job, run two businesses and keep up with two podcasts.

I was in a shut down state, a depression and struggled to do much of anything really.

Let alone keep up with all the programs I’d signed up for and give my business the time and care it needed to support me.

I reached a point where I was down to my final few thousand in my savings. I needed to do something before it ran out.

I got a casual job as a receptionist to cover some of my expenses.
I’d failed in being able to provide for myself in biz.

I told people I did it to change things up, for some variety. But really I couldn’t make ends meet. I was so ashamed.
