Here's something that often surprises people:
ADHD and autism rarely travel alone. Anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, and sleep difficulties frequently co-occur with neurodivergent conditions. When only one
part of the picture is identified, the rest can keep creating difficulty — even with the best support in place. Our practice looks at the full picture — not just one diagnosis — because you are a whole person, not a checklist. If you've been working through
anxiety or depression but still feel like something is missing — it may be worth exploring whether ADHD or autism is also part of your experience.

Still think ADHD is just about not being able to sit
still? Here';s what it can actually look like in adults:
✅ Hyperfocusing on things you love for hours
✅ Forgetting important things despite genuinely trying
✅ Emotional overwhelm that hits fast and hard
✅ Starting projects with energy, then losing momentum
✅ Knowing exactly what to do — but not being able to start
✅ Feeling "too much" and "not enough" at the same time
Recognising yourself here doesn't mean you have ADHD. But it may mean it's worth finding out.

Masking — hiding neurodivergent traits to fit in — is
exhausting. Many adults with unrecognised ADHD or
autism become experts at appearing "fine" on the
outside, while running on empty within. If you've
spent your life feeling like you're performing normalcy
rather than living it — that exhaustion is real. It
makes sense. And you are not alone in it. For many
people, understanding why they mask — and what's
underneath it — begins with an assessment. Not to
change who you are. But to finally understand why it
was never yours to carry in the first place.

If you've been putting off getting assessed because
you're not sure what to expect — this one's for you.
An adult ADHD or autism assessment isn't a pass/fail
test. It's a detailed conversation about your life, your
experiences, and how your brain has been navigating
the world. Our practice looks at the full picture —
including co-occurring conditions like anxiety,
depression, and trauma — because rarely does
anyone come to us with just one thing going on. The
goal isn't a label. It's clarity. Have questions about
the process? Send us a message — we're happy to
chat before you book.

───────────────────

How many times have you been told to just "try harder"? To focus more. To be more organised. To stop forgetting things. To just… be different to how you naturally are. 😔

───────────────────

Here's something worth knowing: ADHD and autism in adults frequently go unrecognised — particularly in women, and in people who learned early on to hide how they were feeling. That exhaustion you carry? The kind that comes from spending your whole life working twice as hard just to keep up? It makes complete sense. And for many people, it has a name. 🧩

───────────────────
Getting assessed isn't about sticking a label on yourself. It's about understanding how YOUR brain works — so you can explore the right support and stop working against yourself. 💪

───────────────────

If you've always felt a little different but never had answers —You are not alone.
You are not broken.
And it is never too late to seek answers. 🧡
