What looks like fun is also practice for real life. Not all therapy looks like therapy from the outside. What might look like simple games is often carefully designed therapeutic work in action.

Through play, children and young people have opportunities to build confidence, practice coping in real time, and experience small, manageable challenges in a safe and supportive environment. Games naturally create moments of frustration, success, waiting, and problem-solving, giving space to work through emotions as they arise, rather than just talking about them.

What looks like fun is often where some of the most meaningful growth happens.

Karina is a registered Social Worker with extensive experience supporting children, young people and families. Sessions are tailored to each child’s unique strengths, interests, and goals, while supporting emotional regulation, confidence, connection, and overall wellbeing.

Karina incorporates creative therapeutic approaches including art, nature play, gardening, yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork to create engaging and meaningful sessions for young people. She works collaboratively with parents/families to provide practical strategies, emotional support, and self-care tools that strengthen family wellbeing and help create positive outcomes both at home and in everyday life.
