The Quadratus Lumborum (QL) is a deep core muscle located on both sides of your lower back. It connects your pelvis to your spine and ribs, helping your body:

R.I.C.E is out… PEACE & LOVE is in ✌️❤️

For years, injuries were treated with R.I.C.E:
Rest, Ice, Compression & Elevation.

But newer research now encourages a more active recovery approach using the acronym PEACE & LOVE.

🟡 PEACE (immediately after injury)
• Protect
• Elevate
• Avoid anti-inflammatories
• Compress
• Educate

🟢 LOVE (after the first few days)
• Load
• Optimism
• Vascularisation (gentle movement/cardio)
• Exercise

The focus has shifted from “complete rest” to helping the body recover through gradual movement, education and building strength back up properly.

Plantar fasciitis can be stubborn — that sharp heel pain first thing in the morning or after being on your feet all day can really slow you down.

One tool that’s been a game changer in clinic is the heated scraper tool (a form of soft tissue therapy / IASTM).
By combining gentle heat with controlled scraping techniques, it helps:
- Improve blood flow to the plantar fascia and surrounding tissues
