Finishing the week with 85kg sumo deadlifts and apparently a face that confirms they were heavy enough. 😂

There’s something deeply satisfying about ending the week feeling strong in your body.

Not exercising to burn calories.
Not punishing myself for what I ate.
Not trying to make myself smaller.

Just a midlife woman picking up heavy s**t and getting stronger. 🔥

And now I’m swapping the lifting shoes for party shoes and heading off to celebrate my best friend’s son turning 18. 🥂

Strong. Nourished. Sexy. And ready for the weekend.

Stay sexy, friends. 💋

Midlife strength training should leave you feeling ENERGISED — not depleted. 🔥

This is the kind of message I LOVE receiving after our Vera Wellness Goddesses train together:

💬 “OMG, feel so lit up from this morning’s session. Thank you, Paula.”

💬 “Agreed. Thanks, Paula. Feeling so full of energy.”

YES. This is how we train in midlife.

We’re not exercising to punish our bodies.
We’re not crawling out of workouts completely wrecked, believing harder must mean better.

We’re building strong, capable, powerful bodies, and supporting ourselves to feel more alive in them.

✨ Energised, not depleted.
✨ Nourished, not punished.
✨ Strong, confident and SEXY.

Because your midlife glow-up doesn’t need to come from white-knuckling your way through another restrictive plan.

It can come from learning how to train, nourish and care for the woman you are becoming.

Ready to step into your strong, sexy era? 🔥

Comment SEXY SHRED to be first to hear about my new 9-week Sexy Shred program, coming this spring.

Stay Sexy,
Paula 💋

I have zero desire to be more disciplined with my wellness.

I don’t want to be more disciplined with food.
I don’t want to be more disciplined with exercise.
I don’t want to white-knuckle my way into a body I think I’m supposed to have.

I’ve done that version of wellness.

Now, I’m interested in something very different.

I’m learning to listen to the wisdom of my body.

To notice what genuinely nourishes me.
What gives me energy.
What makes me feel strong.
What supports my nervous system.
What helps me sleep deeply.
What makes me feel alive, confident and SEXY in my own skin.

I’m not trying to control my body into submission.

I’m nourishing myself into the biggest glow-up of my life. ✨

Strong.
Confident.
Sexy.

And perhaps the most beautiful part?

It feels like freedom.

If this is the kind of midlife glow-up you desire too — one built from awareness, nourishment, strength and self-love rather than restriction and punishment — I think you’re going to love what I’m creating.

Comment SEXYSHRED and you’ll be the first to hear about my new 9-week program launching in Sexy Spring. 🌸🔥

Stay sexy, friends.

Unpopular opinion…

We can’t blame all midlife weight gain on perimenopause.

I know that may feel confronting. When I gained 6kg, I found myself blaming my hormones too—because honestly, it felt easier.

But the more I told myself it was completely out of my control, the more powerless I felt.

So I looked honestly at the research… and at my own habits.

The truth?

I was moving less.
Eating more.
Drinking more.
Sleeping worse.
And having far too many “f**k it” moments.

Yes, hormonal changes matter. But they don’t mean we’re broken—and they don’t mean we’re powerless.

This isn’t about blame. It’s about taking our power back.

Comment SEXYSHRED if you’re ready to step into your strong, sexy era. 🔥

I’ve just jumped off a Zoom consultation with two wonderful women who are ready to build strength and step into their strong era as midlife women. 💪🏼✨

They both knew they wanted to get stronger—but they also wanted closer, personalised guidance rather than trying to navigate it all on their own.

That’s exactly what my one-on-one Zoom consultations are designed for.

Together, we can create a strength program that suits your body, your goals, your experience and your lifestyle—whether you’re training with the equipment you have at home or heading into a gym.

You don’t need to guess which exercises to do, how heavy to lift or how to progress. You can have a clear plan and the confidence that you’re training in a way that truly supports you.

You can also grab a friend and start together. Sometimes having someone beside you makes it easier, more fun and far more likely that you’ll stay consistent.

Ready to step into your strong era?

Comment COACH ME and I’ll personally be in touch to book an appointment with you.

And tag a friend you’d love to get strong with. 💛

I’ve been a germy hot mess for the past few days. 🤧

Both kids were home all of last week sick, and despite thinking my immune system might somehow be superior… it turns out viruses don’t care how much protein you eat or how many squats you can do. 😂

Today, though, I’m doing something my younger self would’ve fought against.

I’m lying in the exquisite sun.
Feeling the warmth on my skin.
Doing absolutely nothing.

For years I wore my ability to push through as a badge of honour. If I could keep going despite exhaustion, I would. But these days I have a very different relationship with my body.

I listen.

Not just to how I think I should feel, but to the quiet signals my body is sending me.

My Oura ring has become a really helpful part of that conversation. When my resting heart rate climbs, my HRV tanks, and my readiness score drops, it removes the emotion from the decision.

It’s not laziness.
My human biology is sending me messages.
Rest isn’t falling behind.
Rest is training.

It’s creating the conditions for my immune system to do what it was designed to do, so I can come back stronger rather than digging myself into a deeper hole.

So today my job is simple:
✨ Sunshine.
✨ Hydration.
✨ Nourishment.
✨ Rest.

The weights will still be there when my body says, “We’re ready.”

What’s your relationship with rest?
Do you find it nourishing… or do you struggle with giving yourself permission to slow down? 💛
