“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love.” ~ Rumi
That quiet pull led me to the snow-capped mountains of Nozawa Onsen, the sweetest little ski town you could imagine to and with my loves
Life complete once again.
Long winding ski runs through snow-covered trees under endless blue skies and soft winter sun. Evenings ending in the quiet ritual of hot spring onsen soaks in the fresh mountain air.
The Izu Peninsula, forest bathing, Mt Fuji, waterfalls spilling through lush valleys, many temples tucked deep within forest paths, more onsens and the joy of the first ume plum blossoms of spring.
Tokyo full of suprises , amazing museums, second-hand treasures, bright lights and loads of activity. Yet despite its busyness, there is a quiet order, a collective calm and a gentle consideration for others that underpins everyday life here.
Japanese say ‘Ichigo Ichie’~ One time, one meeting. Every encounter in life happens only once and should be treasured. Thankyou for gifting me this moment with my favourite people.
What still lingers is the nature, the stillness and the quiet kindness and grace of the Japanese people. Grateful for the sacred moments and places that gently bring us back to ourselves. Big cities excite us, but it is nature that restores us.
Shizen wa saikō no isha~ Nature is the best physician
