How’s your going?

To minimise plastic exposure, try to avoid buying individually wrapped items like cheeses, yoghurts, or sweets. Instead, opt for the bulk buy, like a 2kg yoghurt pot, for example. The plastic to produce ratio is lower.

Thanks to UWA | The University of Western Australia and Minderoo Foundation for their ongoing support of our research 🙏🙏

Are you joining the Plastic Free July pledge?? It’s a world record attempt this year! Make your pledge on 1 July to join in Plastic Free July®
Our team at The PERTH Trial voted to go without single-use coffee cups for the month of July. These cups take up space in landfill, cannot be recycled, and include a thin plastic lining that contains chemicals that leach into out drinks and impact our health.
Check out all our reusable ceramic and stainless steel cup alternatives! 🤩🙌

Choose food that’s been wrapped by nature.

Our research confirms that plastic chemical exposure can be reduced by avoiding plastic touch points. One of these is food packaging. Opting for loose produce is one of the best options.
(Fruit and veg still needs to be washed before eating though!)

The cup matters! Choose ceramic, glass, or stainless steel cups for your daily coffee. Single use cups are lined with toxic plastic chemicals that leach out into your drinks.

Our PERTH Trial participants avoided plastic for 7 days and almost halved their measurable levels of plastic chemicals in their bodies.
