Together, we raised an incredible $48,008 through the Knights 50/50 Raffle!

A huge congratulations to the lucky winner, who will take home half of the prize pool, while the other half will help support children, young people and families receiving care at John Hunter Children’s Hospital.

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, shared the raffle, got behind the campaign and helped make this incredible result possible.

And a very special thank you to our amazing volunteers, who gave their time and energy to sell tickets and support the raffle at the game. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Thank you to the Newcastle community, the Newcastle Knights and everyone who played a part in making the 50/50 Raffle such a success.

When Riley was born at John Hunter Hospital in February 2010, he arrived just before 30 weeks and weighed just 1,252 grams.

For his parents, becoming first-time parents and starting their journey in the NICU was a scary time. But they felt supported every step of the way by the incredible team.

Riley showed his strength from day one. He was able to breathe on his own and spent five weeks in NICU growing bigger and stronger before heading home.

Now, 16 years later, Riley has just celebrated his birthday and is 6 feet tall. You would never know how small he started.

Thank you to Riley and his family for sharing this special journey and showing us just how far our little patients can go. 💛
