Your body isn’t asking for another coffee.

It’s asking you to unclench your jaw.

Drop your shoulders.

Move away from the screen.

And maybe…

Book that massage you’ve been talking about for three weeks. 😉

Are you a Monday-to-Friday professional… and a weekend athlete?

Run.
Cycle.
Gym.
Football.
Golf.
Garden for six hours like it’s an Olympic event.

Your body doesn’t care whether you’re a professional athlete.

Muscle soreness is muscle soreness.

Regular recovery can help you stay on top of the tension that comes with an active lifestyle.

Your weekend plans shouldn’t hurt until Wednesday.

Does a massage have to hurt to work?

No.

More pressure doesn’t automatically mean a better treatment.

The goal isn’t to see how much discomfort you can tolerate.

The right pressure depends on your body, your goals, the area being treated and how your muscles respond.

Tell your therapist what you’re feeling.

Good treatment is a conversation — not a wrestling match. 😅

Got a muscle that feels like it just refuses to let go?

For suitable clients, Dry Needling Therapy may be incorporated as a targeted treatment approach for tight or sensitive muscular areas.

It’s not the same as massage.

And it’s definitely not about randomly sticking needles into sore spots.

Treatment should always start with understanding what’s going on and whether dry needling is appropriate for you.

Available at Pari Health Massage Islington.

Ask our team whether it could be suitable for your treatment goals.

“I thought the tightness would just go away.”

One week becomes two.

You start rolling your shoulder more often.

Stretching your neck during meetings.

Changing your sleeping position.

Asking your partner to press that one spot.

Sound familiar?

Sometimes your body has been asking for attention long before you finally listen.

Don’t wait until uncomfortable becomes unbearable.

Give your body some proper maintenance.

Smashed leg day yesterday? Regretting the stairs today?

That post-workout soreness has a name: DOMS — delayed onset muscle soreness.

Research suggests massage after strenuous exercise can help reduce the feeling of muscle soreness during recovery.

So when your training program says “recovery day”…

Recovery doesn’t always have to mean lying on the couch.

Train. Recover. Repeat.

Working 8 hours at a desk… then scrolling for another 3?

Your neck has noticed. 👀

Long periods of sitting, screens and repetitive positions can leave your neck, shoulders and upper back feeling stiff and tired.

Massage won’t redesign your workstation for you.

But it can be one part of looking after the muscles doing overtime every day.

Consider this your reminder:

Your laptop gets updates. Your body needs maintenance too.

When was the last time your shoulders actually felt relaxed?

Not “fine.”

Not “manageable.”

Actually relaxed.

If you have to think about it…

It might be time.

Can massage actually help with neck and shoulder pain?

It’s more than just feeling good for an hour.

Research into massage therapy has found evidence of short-term improvements in neck and shoulder pain for some people.

But good treatment isn’t about attacking the sore spot as hard as possible.

It’s about understanding where you’re tight, how your body is moving, and choosing the right approach for you.

At Pari, every body is different.

Your treatment should be too.
