16.6% of First Nations Australians report having asthma - much higher than the national average of 10.8%.
Asthma is a serious condition, and First Nations peoples are disproportionately impacted. We’re committed to working alongside communities to improve asthma outcomes and ensure culturally safe care and support.

Today is Hyperemesis Gravidarum Awareness Day. Did you know that pregnant women with asthma are more likely to experience HG than pregnant women without asthma? In TTAP we are investigating whether HG or nausea and vomiting during pregnancy are risk factors for asthma attacks later in pregnancy.

Founded in 2018 by HG survivor Caitlin Kay-Smith, Hyperemesis Australia is an organisation focussed on raising awareness of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy and Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Supporting the women suffering from these terrible conditions

Here’s some info on pregnancy vaccination and why it’s recommended as part of routine care.

Leading health organisations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), strongly recommend vaccination for pregnant women.

Remember, vaccinating during pregnancy is one of the most important things you can do to ensure a healthy start for you and your baby.

We’ll be at the Pregnancy Babies and Children's Expo, Sat 16 + Sun 17 May, 10am–4pm, at the Sydney Showgrounds with an education stand and a pop‑up immunisation clinic.

Thank you to all the amazing mums who participate in our research studies! Have a lovely Mother’s Day!
