Hunter Physio Sports Clinic is a busy Physiotherapy, Remedial Massage and Exercise Physiology Clinic in Broadmeadow. We are fitted with our own rehabilitation gym and small group, targeted classes. We believe in curing the cause of your pain, not just treating the symptoms. This has given us a reputation as one of the best Physiotherapy, Massage and Exercise Physiology clinics in Newcastle. We are

a “hands-on” clinic, and combine muscle activation, strengthening, core, balance and stretching exercises to complement all of our manual treatments. We aim to give you the knowledge and support so you can manage your condition. We believe this keeps you performing at your peak and importantly, assists in avoiding re-injury.

That’s a wrap on an unforgettable Glasgow 2026 💚💛

From world records and history-makers to breakthrough performances and unforgettable team moments, Australia’s athletes once again showed what it means to wear the green and gold.

Final highlights:

🇦🇺 172 of our 255 athletes leave Glasgow as Commonwealth Games medallists
🇦🇺 Australia won gold in every sport except netball, Para powerlifting and judo
🇦🇺 Louise Hoskins became Australia’s oldest Commonwealth Games gold medallist
🇦🇺 The Dolphins dominated the pool with 37🥇, 16🥈 and 23🥉 - 76 medals from a 60-strong team, our best-ever Commonwealth Games swimming campaign
🇦🇺 Australian Athletics enjoyed its greatest Commonwealth Games day ever, winning seven gold medals and 17 medals in total, including two clean sweeps of the podium
🇦🇺 Georgia Baker claimed a record-equalling fifth Commonwealth Games gold medal to cement her place among Australia’s cycling greats
🇦🇺 Boxing delivered two Commonwealth champions through Emma-Sue Greentree and Jye Dixon
🇦🇺 Judo fought its way to five medals on the tatami
🇦🇺 The Diamonds added another chapter to their proud legacy with a bronze medal
🇦🇺 Aus Cycling produced the only world records of the Games, with Tara Neyland rewriting the record books twice

Congratulations to every athlete, coach, team member and supporter who made Glasgow 2026 so special. The journey now continues towards the Olympics and Paralympic Games, before attention turns to Amdavad 2030 for Australian sport.

Graphic footage - horrible to see for Dylan Lucas who is medicabbed off with a left ankle injury.

By video obvious concern for ankle fracture dislocation - contact mechanism with tackler coming down on lower leg & foot trapped underneath. Could see clear deformity at ankle.

Wide recovery range for such a brutal injury but usually at least 3+ months. Thoughts with Lucas.
