Toxin-Free Tuesday | Episode 6

For our final episode in our Toxin-free Tuesday series were sharing our Homemade Bath Salt recipe!

Ingredients:
- 200g (approximately 1 cup) epsom salts (magnesium sulphate)
- 3 tablespoons sea salt
- 6 drops essential oil (lavender, rose, or a sleepy-time blend containing oils like chamomile, cedarwood, bergamot)
- Optional: dried rose petals to top the jar

1. Combine the epsom salts and sea salt in a bowl. Add the essential oil drops and stir through until evenly distributed. Transfer to a clean glass jar with a lid. If you are adding rose petals, scatter them on top before sealing.
2. To use: draw a warm bath (not too hot) and tip the full jar in while the water is running so everything dissolves evenly. Get in, put the phone in another room and try stay for at least 40 minutes. That gives a good amount of time for the magnesium to absorb and for the nervous system to genuinely shift.
3. The rose petals are optional but they make the whole thing feel a bit more considered plus they look beautiful floating around you while you soak. BUT just keep in mind that someone (probably you) has to scoop them out and clean the bath once your done!

When was the last time you took a bath with no phone and no interruption. Well this is your homework for this week!

This week: Homemade Healthy Vegemite 🖤

Here’s what’s been happening at Zeally HQ this fortnight! 💁🏼‍♀️

1. We tried STOKE WINES glyphosate free wine to send off Demi our socials gal on her euro trip. Be prepared for some unfiltered content while we are left in charge 😂

2. Part 1 of something VERY exciting arrived at HQ. We can’t wait to show you 🙈

3. Jenna offered $50 to whoever made it furthest into the bush behind our warehouse 😅

4. We drew the winner of our giveaway! 🎉 Thanks to all who entered!

5. We met ‘Harry’ in Demis car on the way to a shoot. Let us know in the comments if these furry things are socially acceptable 😂

Definitely a community favourite from our cleanse eBook. If you’re after an easy, healthy but yummo breakfast, this one’s for you. After cooking many, many, MANY batches of these buckwheat pancakes, we can confidently say the key is frying them in plenty of coconut oil. It gives the edges a crispness while the inside stays fluffy, and most importantly, it adds extra flavour and natural sweetness. So get heavy handed with a heaped tablespoon in the pan!

Bonus: coconut oil is one of the best natural sources of caprylic acid, a beneficial fatty acid known for its supportive role in maintaining a healthy gut environment. That’s why we encourage a daily dose of coconut oil while on the cleanse.

🥞 BUCKWHEAT PIKELETS (GF | DF | Serves 2)

Whisk 1 cup buckwheat flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, ½ tsp cinnamon and a pinch of salt with 1 cup dairy free milk, 1 egg, 1 tbsp melted coconut oil and 1 tsp vanilla.

Toxin-Free Tuesday | Episode 3

Every Tuesday we’re sharing simple toxin-free swaps you can easily make at home.

This week: Natural Deodorant 🤎

This recipe is easy to make, uses simple ingredients, and actually works.

- 5 tbsp coconut oil
- 5 tbsp cacao butter
- 3 tbsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup cornstarch or arrowroot powder
- 12 to 15 drops tea tree oil

Melt the coconut oil and cacao butter together over low heat. Remove from heat and stir through the baking soda and cornstarch until fully combined. Add the tea tree oil and stir again. Pour into a glass jar or an old deodorant container and allow to set at room temperature, or refrigerate to speed up the process.

Apply a small amount with your fingertips. It will be firmer in cooler weather and softer in summer. We find a glass jar kept in the bathroom works well year-round.
