This isn't just a pool noodle party, it's Proprioceptive Input! 🧠✨
Some kids feel "disconnected" from their bodies, which can lead to clumsiness, anxiety, or trouble focusing. By using rhythmic tapping, we're essentially "colouring in" their brain's map of their body.
The result?
✅ Better Body Awareness: Knowing where their arms and legs are without having to look.
✅ Emotional Regulation: That deep pressure helps calm the nervous system (notice the goosebumps at the end!).
✅ Feeling Grounded: It's like a big, sensory hug that helps them feel ready to learn.

We're so excited to welcome Zara to the Able Allied Healthcare family! 🎉

Zara is a fourth-year OT student joining us for the next 10 weeks as part of her placement, and she's bringing fresh energy and a genuine passion for learning.

Over the coming weeks Zara will be getting to know our team, shadowing our therapists across OT, Speech and Feeding, and soaking up all the tricks of the trade. After settling in, she'll also have limited availability to see select clients for student appointments, which is a great option for families on our waitlist.

Behind the scenes she'll be helping the team develop handouts, create resources, and do research to make our sessions even better for clients and families.
We're lucky to have you, Zara. Welcome aboard! 💜
