What a beautiful morning celebrating Abigail's special day! 💕🎨

Our studio was filled with laughter, creativity and the sweetest group of girls. They embraced every activity with such positive attitudes, encouraged one another and created the most amazing artwork. It was a joy to watch their confidence and creativity shine throughout the party.

What a cool night in the studio!

This week our Adult Beginner Art Class explored the exciting world of neon lights. Using black card and a range of mixed media techniques, we learned how artists create the illusion of glowing light with layers of colour, soft blending, and bright highlights.

It was amazing to watch each artwork come to life as the neon effect started to glow against the dark background. Every piece was unique, and everyone left with a vibrant artwork they could be proud of.

What a fun class full of creativity, laughter, and lots of glowing masterpieces!

Ready for the oven!

This week our kids let their imaginations take flight with some wonderfully wacky birds!

Our lesson focused on texture and how artists use different marks, patterns, and materials to make artwork look and feel more interesting. The children experimented with a variety of techniques to create fluffy feathers, rough beaks, and colourful details, making each bird completely unique.

The results were full of personality, creativity, and lots of laughs. There is nothing better than watching children discover new artistic skills while having so much fun. We absolutely love how these quirky little birds turned out!

Pop Art took over the studio on Monday night! 🎨

This week our Adult Beginner Art Class explored the bold and colourful world of Roy Lichtenstein. We learned how he transformed comic book illustrations into works of fine art using strong outlines, Ben Day dots, and dramatic expressions.

Our artists created their own Pop Art inspired portraits, experimenting with tonal value, colour, and mixed media techniques. Every artwork had its own personality, and it was wonderful to see everyone's confidence grow as the evening unfolded.

What a fun night of creativity, laughter, and learning. I can't wait to see what we create together next week!

🎨 Our Kids Art Classes are back tomorrow! 🎨

We can't wait to welcome all our young artists back after the holidays. It has been a lovely break, but we are so excited to fill the studio with creativity, colour, laughter, and imagination once again.

We have lots of fun projects planned this term, with new art techniques, inspiring artists, and plenty of opportunities for every child to learn, create, and grow in confidence.

Today I had the opportunity to learn the beautiful art of mosaics, and I absolutely loved it! There is something so satisfying about carefully cutting and placing each tiny piece to create something beautiful.

Yes, I ended up with a few little cuts from cutting the tiles, but every one of them was worth it! Learning a new creative skill reminds me that growth often comes with a few bumps along the way.

I cannot wait to bring this technique into my art classes and share it with my students. I already know they are going to have so much fun creating their own colourful mosaic masterpieces!
