I speak at length to women with PCOS / PMOS every single day about their condition and the impact it has on their life. One thing I know is that so many of you are carrying far more than anyone else realises.

You're trying to manage your symptoms while holding down a job, looking after your family, worrying about your fertility, trying to lose weight, following all the advice on social media, and somehow still finding time to look after yourself.

It's no wonder so many women tell me they're exhausted.

What breaks my heart is that many don't even realise how stressed they are anymore, because it's become normal.

Feeling anxious. Never fully switching off. Always feeling like you should be doing more. Feeling guilty every time you miss a workout or eat something "off plan."

When you live in that state for months or years, your body feels it. And while stress isn't the cause of PCOS, it can absolutely make your symptoms feel so much worse.

I've seen it over and over again. Women whose cycles become more irregular, whose cravings get stronger, whose sleep falls apart, and whose weight suddenly becomes harder to manage... all during the most stressful seasons of their lives.

Sometimes the most important thing you can do for your hormones isn't another diet or workout. It's creating a life where your body finally feels safe again.

I'd love to know... what's been the biggest source of stress in your life lately? ❤

If this made you laugh and also feel slightly attacked... I get it lol 😅

One of the hardest parts about PCOS / PMOS isn’t just the symptoms... it’s feeling like you have 47 different things you’re “supposed” to be doing every single day. It’s exhausting.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, that’s normal my friend. You’re trying to juggle far more than ANYBODY even realises.

The good news? PCOS doesn’t require perfection!! You don’t need to do everything at once to see progress. In fact, most women get better results when they stop trying to be perfect and start focusing on the few things that actually move the needle.

That’s exactly how we coach our clients. Because less overwhelm = more clarity = better results.

What’s the most overwhelming part of managing your PCOS right now? 👇

One of the most important habits for improving PCOS symptoms and losing weight is eating enough protein each day 💚

But for most women, the challenge isn't knowing protein matters, it's knowing what that actually looks like in a real day of eating.

This sample day contains 145g of protein 👌

No extremes, no food rules, no cutting out entire food groups. Just simple, sustainable habits that support your hormones, hunger, energy, and weight-loss goals.

That's the NOVUM way ✨

Magnesium is one of the most helpful supplements for PCOS / PMOS. When women ask me where to start with supplements, I usually put magnesium right alongside inositol and vitamin D as my "big 3" foundations.

Why?

Because magnesium doesn't just support one symptom. It can help support some of the core issues we see with PCOS including:

✨ Poor sleep quality
✨ High stress
✨ Low energy
✨ Blood sugar balance
✨ Cravings and hunger

And when those things improve, it's often a lot easier to stay consistent with the habits that actually drive long-term results. Not all magnesium is the same though 👇

✔️ Magnesium Citrate is great if bloating, constipation or digestive sluggishness is something you struggle with.

✔️ Magnesium Malate is my favourite for women dealing with low energy, fatigue and brain fog.

✔️ Magnesium Glycinate is usually my go-to for sleep, stress, anxiety and those "my brain won't switch off" nights.

📌 Daily dosage:
Most women with PCOS will benefit from around 200–400mg of elemental magnesium per day, depending on their diet, symptoms and individual needs.

The best results always come from combining it with good nutrition, strength training, sleep and steps! But if I was building a supplement routine for PCOS from scratch, magnesium would almost always make the list.

It's actually one of the reasons I included it in our Balance Multivitamin because I wanted to combine the vitamins and minerals I see helping women with PCOS the most, including:

✓ Magnesium
✓ Vitamin D
✓ Zinc
✓ Chromium
✓ Inositol

Have you tried magnesium? did it help? did it do nothing? let me know!

Comment “coach” if you’d like help with your weight loss and improving your PCOS / PMOS symptoms at the same time. I’ll message you about our 1:1 PCOS coaching ❤️

Let me know if you feel like this is how your body works..

You can build muscle easily ✅
But the belly fat just won’t shift ❌

With PCOS / PMOS, higher testosterone can actually make it easier to gain muscle. That part makes sense. But the “PCOS belly” is never about calories alone, it’s a sign of your body responding to two things:

🍬 Your insulin staying high
😮‍💨 Your cortisol staying switched on

When insulin is elevated, your body is being told to store fat, not release it. And when cortisol is high, your body is a stressed state, not a mood to burn fat.

So when the plan is just “eat less, exercise more,” here’s what happens:

Your strength improves and you gain muscle. But your midsection stays stuck because the signals driving fat storage were never addressed.

Your body isn’t failing you. It’s responding exactly as it’s designed to. This is where so many women with PCOS get lost!!

A flat belly with PCOS is absolutely possible. It just requires a plan that actively improves your insulin sensitivity and brings stress hormones back down, not one that only cuts calories harder.

Real progress with PCOS comes from balancing your hormones, not fighting the symptoms.

If there is one thing that the comments section on social media constantly teaches me...

It's that the world needs more understanding and less judgement. Because you never know the full story if you only ever see the cover 💯❤
