A huge thank you to Louise for trusting the process.
Louise trains with me just once a week, but what she's achieved over the past few months is a perfect example of what can happen when consistency meets the right approach.
When Louise first came to me, she was struggling with significant neck and shoulder pain, along with the rounded posture that so many of us develop from modern living. What makes her progress even more special is that she'd worked with other trainers for many years, so stepping into a very different style of training required a lot of trust.
These photos tell an incredible story.
The first photo was taken on May 4th, after Louise had already completed a 9-week block with me. Even then, you can clearly see the restrictions and tightness through her upper body. Fast forward to May 11th and then June 1st, and the improvement in her range of motion is remarkable.
I love taking these progress photos because they provide something that mirrors often can't—they show undeniable proof of change.
What has made the difference?

✔️ Strengthening the muscles of the upper back
✔️ Releasing tightness through the chest and shoulders
✔️ Making small changes to everyday habits
✔️ Completing a second session each week at home
This is exactly what recovery looks like. It's not a quick fix. It's a series of small, consistent actions that add up over time.
The reality is that Louise's situation isn't unusual. Most people I work with have some degree of postural imbalance, tightness, or movement restriction. It's part of the Western lifestyle—hours sitting, driving, working at computers, looking down at phones, and gradually losing the strength needed to hold ourselves upright.
As we age, gravity is constantly pulling us down. If we don't maintain the strength and mobility to counteract it, we naturally begin to round forward and develop aches, pains, and limitations.
This is exactly why I created the FIRE Program.
Many people tell me they're "not tight" when they first arrive. Then, as we dig a little deeper, they realise they've been living with neck pain, shoulder pain, stiffness, headaches, poor posture, or movement limitations for years.
They've simply accepted it as normal.
It doesn't have to be.
