Join us for a morning of connection, conversation and community as we come together to recognise R U OK? Day.

Drop in, say hello, enjoy a FREE sausage on bread, and take a moment to check in with one another. Whether you're catching up with friends, meeting someone new or simply stopping by, everyone is welcome.

🥤 Cold drinks available for $2, with 100% of proceeds going towards keeping the Rae of Sunshine Community Pantry stocked with food and essential items for those in need.

💛 Homelessness Awareness Week | 3–9 August 2026 💛

No one should have to face hardship alone.

This week, our Community Pantry has been stocked with extra everyday essentials to support those who may be experiencing homelessness or doing it tough.

Whether it's a warm pair of socks, a meal, toiletries, or a few pantry staples, we hope these small acts of kindness can make a big difference.

If you need support, please know our pantry is here for you—no questions asked, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

If you're in a position to help, we warmly welcome donations of non-perishable food, toiletries, warm clothing, or other essential items to help us keep the pantry stocked for our community.

Together, we can help ensure everyone has access to life's essentials, while reminding those doing it tough that they are seen, valued, and not alone. 💜🌻

🥶 Winter Warmers Are Back! ❄️

With overnight temperatures in Rockhampton set to drop this week, we've brought back our Winter Warmer items at the Rae of Sunshine Free Community Street Pantry & Library to help keep our community a little warmer. Available for anyone sleeping rough, doing it tough, or needing extra support, you'll find winter essentials like warm drinks, soups, lip balm, biscuits and other comforting items.

If you need them, please take what you need. 💜 There are no eligibility requirements, no questions asked, and no need to come into the office.

If you'd like to help us keep the pantry stocked, we'd greatly appreciate donations of new and unused winter essentials such as:

🧦 Warm socks
🧤 Beanies and gloves
☕ Hot drink sachets
🥣 Cup-a-Soup
💋 Lip balm
🕯️ Candles
🍪 Long-life comfort foods

Due to the current Telstra outage, our office landline and mobile phone services are currently unavailable.

Our team is working to have our landline services restored as soon as possible this morning. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding while this issue is being resolved.

For anyone else affected by the outage, please remember that 000 emergency services remain available if you require urgent assistance.

We also encourage everyone to take a moment to check in on family members, friends, neighbours, or loved ones who may be vulnerable or rely on their phone or internet services to stay connected—especially those who live alone. A quick visit or welfare check can make a real difference during service disruptions.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’ll post another update as soon as our phone services have been restored.

🌻 Community Pantry Update 🌻

Did you know that our Community Pantry doesn’t receive any government or ongoing funding to keep it running?

In fact, the family behind Rae of Sunshine Supports personally funds more than 90% of the pantry’s stock.

This photo is just today’s grocery shop… with even more supplies still to come tomorrow.

We don’t share this for recognition—we share it because we want our community to know that every single donation, no matter how big or small, genuinely makes a difference. Whether it’s a few pantry items, a gift card, or simply helping spread the word, it all helps us continue supporting local families doing it tough.

To everyone who has donated, or supported our pantry… thank you. 💜🧡 Your kindness helps us keep the shelves stocked and ensures that people in our community can access essential items when they need it most.
