I Look Optique Optometry and Eyewear on the Gold Coast
Boutique designer and luxury eyewear

22/10/2026

Reintroducing our Director and Optometrist, Minh Nguyen.

Many of you may have already met her. You’ll often find her around the Capri on Via Roma centre, chatting with locals and fellow business owners (we apologise in advance if she won’t stop talking about eyes).

Minh has worked across Brisbane and Toowoomba for over 10 years and now proudly calls the Gold Coast home. She’s excited to bring her expertise in dry eye treatment and her love of eyewear to our community.

Three environments, three lenses.

DITA Lancier starts with the light. The Land lens tames glare without flattening the world, so depth and distance stay natural for the drive, the run or the ride. The Air lens sharpens contrast and colour, with minimal distortion at altitude. Sea is tuned for the brightness off the water.

The frames are as pared back as the lenses. Lightweight titanium, pressed coin-edge detailing and a quiet 1990s geometry, finished in Japan. Nothing decorative, everything considered.

A lens tint is more than just fashion. It changes how you see, not only how you look.

Yellow filters out the scattered blue light that flattens an overcast day, so edges sharpen, greens come forward and the sky recedes. It’s at its best in low, grey light.

Blue cools the warm glare of a late afternoon or pale sand, keeps whites crisp, and feels calm rather than sharp.

Grey lowers brightness evenly and leaves every colour true, which makes it the choice for full sun, open water and the drive home.

Ahlem is engraved like jewellery, made to be worn.

Designed by Ahlem Manai-Platt and handcrafted by artisans in Oyonnax, France. Her signature Bauhaus filigree is engraved in delicate detail along the rims, bridge and temples, finished in palladium and paired with warm amber lenses.
