** OPEN FOR APPOINTMENTS **

The Physio Hub will remain OPEN for Physiotherapy appointments throughout this latest circuit-breaker lockdown. In line with government guidelines, face to face Physiotherapy consultations are permitted as an essential service where Telehealth is not appropriate.

Unfortunately, group Clinical Pilates/functional physiotherapy sessions are NOT permitted so these will be cancelled until Friday 4th June.

I will be in touch to personally confirm all existing Physio appointments for Friday 28th May- Thursday 3rd June.

As always, I will be available for any new appointments/queries/advice at any time on 0402043000.

DRY NEEDLING....so what exactly is it and how does it work??

Dry needling is one of many techniques that specially trained Physiotherapists can use to help relieve pain and improve range of motion in the treatment of muscle or movement disorders.
It is a safe and often very effective form of trigger point therapy.
A trigger point (‘knot’) is an area of local contracture or tight band in a muscle fibre that can cause local or referred pain, disrupt function and restrict range of motion.
A thin needle (identical to acupuncture needle) is inserted into the trigger point of a muscle to release or inactivate the trigger point, thereby reducing pain and improving movement.

At The Physio Hub, dry needling is quite commonly performed as part of the treatment for many conditions, including headaches, back and neck pain, muscle injuries and sciatic pain.
