You can love your family.

Need your job.

Have responsibilities you can’t just walk away from.

And still know that the way you’re living isn’t working anymore.

The answer doesn’t always have to be leaving, quitting, cutting everyone off or starting again.

Sometimes you need to work out what’s actually creating the pressure.

What needs to change.

What doesn’t belong to you.

What you need help with.

And where you’ve stopped having a say in your own life.

That’s the work I do 1:1.

If this made sense to you, there’s a 1:1 link in the comments. Tell me what’s going on.

“I don’t have a choice.”

When you've been doing the same thing for long enough, it can genuinely feel that way.

The job you stay in.

The things you keep saying yes to.

Being the one who always sorts everything out.

The other choices might not be easy. You might not even like them.

But that doesn't mean they aren't there.

You also don't have to keep doing something just because it's familiar.

Have you ever caught yourself saying “I have no choice” when you actually meant “I don't like the other options”?

Yes or no?

The problem with being the person who always figures it out is that everyone starts assuming you always will.

Even when you have no fu***ng idea what you're doing.

So you work it out.

Find another way.

Get it done.

And because you got there in the end, nobody sees the part where you could have used some help too.

Being capable doesn't mean you never need help.

It wasn't really the small thing.

Plans changed.

Someone needed something. Something didn't go the way I'd planned.

And suddenly I was pi**ed off, stressed, overwhelmed and my whole fu***ng day was ruined.

Sometimes the night too.

The same stuff still happens now.

Plans change. People need things from me.

Life happens!

But it doesn't ruin everything anymore.

And if small things can still ruin your whole fu***ng day, that's what I help people with.

You can work with me now. Send me a DM and tell me what's happening.

You can really want help and still not feel ready to tell someone you've barely met the biggest things going on in your life.

Trust doesn't automatically come with the appointment.

So start smaller.

Give them something that matters, but doesn't feel huge, and see what they do with it.

Sometimes starting with the small stuff is how you figure out if you can trust someone with the big stuff.

“It’s easier if I just do it.”

Sometimes it is, for about five minutes.

It stops the questions, the urgency, the discussion or the potential argument.

But now their thing has become another thing you’re responsible for.

And when that happens over and over again, it’s not actually making your life easier.

It’s one of the ways the pressure inside you keeps building.

You don't need to get better at coping.

If you're constantly trying to be calmer, more patient, more organised, more on top of things, and it still isn't working, another strategy isn't the answer.

Your life is asking you to hold more than you currently have capacity for.

And trying harder just adds more pressure.

We keep trying to improve the coping without looking at the capacity underneath it.

Maybe your life genuinely is hard.

Maybe there are things you're dealing with every day that other people don't see, don't understand and don't have to think about.

And maybe you are coping.

You're getting everyone where they need to be.

You're dealing with the school.

You're working.

You're making the appointments.

You're solving the problems.

You're keeping the whole thing moving.

But what happens when you get home?

How quickly do you lose your patience?

How often does one more question feel like one question too many?

How much noise can you tolerate?

How much do you actually want to be around the people you love?

How often do you think, I just need everyone to leave me alone?

Maybe the question isn't whether you're coping.

Maybe it's what your version of coping is costing you.

Because your life can genuinely be hard without this being the only way you can live it.

What does “coping” look like in your house right now?

I created this because sometimes you want your body to feel better… but you really don’t want a massage.

Maybe you don’t want to get undressed.
You don’t want oils or smells.
You don’t want someone touching you.
You don’t want to drive somewhere, find parking, make small talk and then drive home covered in oil. 😅

Or maybe the whole massage/wellness environment just isn’t your thing.

Keep Your Clothes On (KYCO) is my alternative.

It’s a tailored 1:1 online session where I guide you through breath, movement, body awareness and other body-based techniques based on where you’re feeling it and what your body actually needs that day.

It comes from 30 years of experience working with the body, including myotherapy.

You stay home.
You stay fully clothed.
Nobody touches you.
And there’s no generic routine to follow.

I’ve opened a few sessions this week.

I’ll put the details + booking link in the comments 👇

If this week doesn’t suit, follow to keep updated - I’ll post when I open the next sessions.

I’m Kim. I work with people who’ve become really good at carrying too much.

And being that capable can hide the problem.

When life keeps asking more of you and you keep finding a way to handle it, you adapt.

You organise more.

Anticipate more.

Take responsibility for more.

Need more things to go to plan.

You become less patient with interruptions.

Less flexible when something changes.

More likely to take over because doing it yourself feels easier.

And because you’re still functioning, those things can start looking like personality.

They may not be.

Pay attention to what happens when the demands drop.

You’re on holiday and suddenly you’re more spontaneous.

Someone else takes responsibility and you stop needing to control everything.

Nobody needs anything from you and you’re patient again.

You have room to think and decisions that normally feel impossible become obvious.

That’s information.

If parts of you seem to change depending on how much pressure you’re under, stop telling yourself, “that’s just who I am.”

Some of what you think is just you may actually be what you’ve learned to do to function when there’s too much to juggle.

You don’t always notice pressure by how much you’re juggling.

Sometimes you notice it by who you have to become to carry it.
